Default Sounds Fishy vette vs vette

Im gonna shorten up the story a bit and go right to the creamy filling.

So its me in my 1980 Corvette and this guy and looked to be his little brother in this black C5 stock. We were both rolling about 30. I was in 2nd gear both nose to nose and we both took off. He got about a fender or 2 on me and then i shifted into 3rd about the same time he needed to shift. From there i took off and he fell about half a car-car length behind. Did he miss a shift? After i started walking him he shut down. I went all the way into traffic and waited, but he turned off the total opposite way that he was supposed to be going (found him turning off on a street and he decided to chase, the street that he was turning off was the total other way.) What do you guys think? Consider it a win. Too bad i was killing my own kind. =(

Its a T350 with a B&H shift kit, 350 small block with a Edlebrock Performer Intake and a 750 holly carb, Duels with F40s and high flow cats. From what it looked like, it was a kid driving daddys vet, it was a m6, so im guessin it was a crappy driver.

Crappy driver is right. If he pulled on you in the beginning, with your mods, I dont see a reason for you coming back on him unless he let off or missed a shift. Kill is a kill though. Nice one.

What all do you have on the 350?? Or is it just the intake and carb? If it's just an intake, 750 is way to big. Let me know the mods

^^wow. That carb is way to big for your engine. Get a 600, and it'll be alot better.

That C5 should've easily walked you. Oh well, driver error = win (in my book)
