Default What does 2V vortech S/Ced/full bolt ons 5spd Stang GT run?

How would my Z28 do against this car? My last 1320 run were 13.1s w/o 3.42 gear, Yank 3500 and tune.

Well, I'll chime in here and say that it depends greatly. Mustang's and superchargers are synonymous with each other. There will be some mid to high 13 second 2V GT's and then there will be much, much faster ones. Which year 2V is it? What are his bolt-on's? How much boost? Does he suck behind the wheel? Auto/5-spd?

More info would be needed to give you an idea.

Damn, this question has like a thousand variables to it.. But I'll try to answer it for you...There are so many different types of S/C's at different boost levels to even give you an good estimate. But with the weakest (making least amount of power) S/C running the lowest boost, they'll dyno 350RWHP at the very least. But typically they dyno anywhere between 360RWHP and 450RWHP on stock internals (majority being around 380RWHP). Again, depending on the S/C and boost level. 400-450RWHP is the caution mark for blowing the engine on them so you wont see too many trying to push it to those levels. So they can run anywhere from low 13's to mid 12's at the track.

it'll prob be a drivers race, you'll have the advantage from a dig(assuming you get traction) and it'll be more even from a roll

well a full bolt-on GT (265-285rwhp) is in the mid 13s, so one with 400rwhp and good traction *should* be deep in the 12s, but it depends on driver. Let us know how it goes

^What he said...they respond well to superchargers so being blown and having supporting mods they should definitely be mid 12s w/a good driver.

FWIW, my friend has a 99GT w/ a V1 S-trim, x-pipe, gear, shifter, and on ET drags went 11.64@116 w/ 1.52 60ft. Then I had anothe buddy had a 99GT w/ same blower but on nittos and a few other bolt-ons went 12.24@115. Granted neither car is currently on the road, but with the right driver and traction they are no slouch.

As was said, too many things to consider without all the detail of the car. Assuming it is 99^car with a Vortech running in the 8-9psi range I would estimate 370-390rwhp. Driven well 12's would be my guess.

At the track I went to, I was running mid 13s all day long (13.4-13.6 @ 105-106, DA was about +2000 ft that day). I raced a nicely done, 99+ 2V GT with a blower (I think he said he was around 10 psi or so, but don't remember), and he ran a 12.7 to my 13.42. There were some other blown Stangs there, and seemed like the heaviest modded 2V was running high 11s/bottom 12s in the weather that day.

They definitely aren't slouches...any of them would have handed me my *** back then, and probably still would now even with a few more mods for me.

Yeah its 99 and up DSG color. I can't really approach the driver, he seems very unsociable(loner type). He's not from here, his car has florida plates. We'll see if I'll get to run him when he cross my pathway again. He can drive his car as far as I can tell. His car is not stock as far as exhaust goes. I don't know if he's running on stock gear or not.

Dude...just go talk to him. I'm the loner type too, but I'll talk if you approach me. Some people are just shy like that.

I almost have full bolts on, everything except for longtube headers which helps alot, and i have 100 shot and im in the 12s. A full bolt on gt with v2 vortech s/c would take me down.

Yeah, but the 3650 also takes a TAD more power to turn than a T45.

Edit: And they switched to the 3650 halfway through '01. The Bullit was the first to get it
