Default My 99 TA vs. 06 Roush Stage 1

so i was at hooters the other night, and as soon as i pull in there were 3 cars that all pulled in together right after me. The one that caught my eye was a new yellow roush, which i later found out to be a stage 1. There was also an 03 GT w/ a vortech supercharger, and a cobalt SS that i think was stock. All the guys were about 20 or so, so i talked to them for a lil bit, complimented the roush then we all went in and ate. As we were walkin out they asked if we wanted to cruise for a bit, so i went ahead and went with them. We ended up on a empty stretch of road, so i got in the left hand lane and put it in first at about 30 (A4) next to the roush. I had the t-tops off, so he just rolled down his window, and we looked at each other, and he yelled go... i hit it and jumped out in front by a hair, and he was right beside me nearly all the way to 100. i took him by about 3/4 of a car. That Roush was sweet as hell tho, bright yellow, two tone leather, and only 1500 miles. all those guys were awesome tho, and we ended up goin to a party with em later. It felt pretty damn good to pull on him tho. he was stick (m5?) but i was wondering is that pretty typical, or did that car just need the driver mod? I assume this is about what would happen with all of them.

I'm stock by the way, except for CAI.

Yeah... a stage 1 is just a GT with a bodykit and intake/exhaust, basically. Good run though

Your gonna catch hell for cruising with some Stangs. j/k.

Nice kill. I would think that you should have pulled more than that. What gears do you have?
btw, I have been told to leave it in drive. It could jack up the tranny. But I'm not an auto type so, maybe someone else will chime in about that.

Good kill! Not to take anything away from it, but you basically killed a stock Mustang GT with a body kit, some fancy wheels, exhaust tips, and badges.

yea thats pretty well what i thought they were, if im not mistaken stage 2 is all that plus suspension, and then a stage 3 is all the above plus a roushcharger. i have 2.73s. As far as i know i don't think it hurts anything to kick it down a gear with an auto, i knew we were gunna go so i didnt wanna wait for the downshift, i def. think that gave me an edge. Everytime else i drive with it in D tho.

I would have thought you would have pulled more than that. Good kill though.
