Default Wants some opinions thxs

Im going to the track this weekend and my buddy at work is also going with me. He has a 68' firebird just put in a M5 in it(heads, cam, and bored 40 over i believe). I have a A4 99 t.a with loudmouth exhaust and a lid thats it. How bad am I going to get killed. Because everone at work believe I am going to get my *** handed to me. You guys feel the same?

Not enough information about the other car...I've found that MANY people underestimate how fast a 4th gen F-body is.

Does it look like something that was half-assed thrown together?

Then I'd expect the worst...but I wouldn't sell your car short. I think you'll hold your own.

a '68 firebird with motor mods is pretty deadly... they're classified as lightweights and if he knows what he doing (which is what you're telling us) then he'll pull ahead and strong. i'd put my money on the 1st gen, but it should be a great race! post results!

It all depends what after market parts are ont the fire chicken . Remember most people when adding after market parts think bigger is better this is only true if all the parts match .

Don't fear the old school there are fast ones but there are also the ones people think are fast cause it's old muscle. The only way to know is to run em.

what engine has the Firebird got?

And it could be quick or it might not, a stock 73 455 SD Trans Am would run high 13's @ 102-103mph so bang on with an auto 4th gen. Add some tyres and a few more mods and 12's would be easy.
