My 02 SS vs 03 Cobra and R6
So the other day my friend calls me up and says come out and race me. He has an 03 Cobra with 2.8 upper pulley 4lb. lower, full exhaust, intake, aftercooler, tune and full suspension. He puts down 460rwhp. He had just broken in his new clutch. I can never resist a good race against a Mustang and I knew it would be fairly close so I said ok. We did a total of about 5 runs from a roll starting anywhere between 40-60 mph up to 130-160. I pulled on him every time anywhere between 1-2 cars. I was suprised how close it was. I knew that his car was fast but I thought I would pull him more. I think it would have been different from a stop. I do however give the 03 Cobras alot of respect. They are nice cars and respond extremely well to minor mods.
On our way home we ran across a 99 Yamaha R6 with exhaust, power commander, and upgraded sprocket that wanted to race. I ran him once from a roll 60-140. I put 3 cars on him. Then he raced my friend with the 03 Cobra and the Cobra was dead even with him.

I would expect you to stomp that Cobra after the first race due to extreme heat
soak and timing getting pulled. A 2.80 upper and a 4lb lower is way too much boost
for a stock Eaton. It becomes extremely inefficient at that point and power falls
off badly.
Nice runs...I'm sure your cars pulls damn hard.

My car put down 420rwhp before the new clutch and lightweight flywheel with a horrible tune. I am going to get it dynoed again in the next week or so and get a better tune. I hope to put out around 450. I have only ran once at the track and it ran 12.2 at 120mph with a 2.2 60ft and a .6 reaction time. It should have a low 11 in it but I still have the stock rear that Im trying not to break until my new 9" comes in.
