Default 1st Kill with new mods. GT goes down.

Well, got my first kill since the blower install today. Pretty pathetic prey (new mustang gt w/ exhaust of some kind) but entertaining anyway. Minding my own business in the right highway lane cruising at 75mph. The GT enters from an onramp, then proceeds to floor it to get next to me. Paces me for a second or two, then guns it. He slowed back down beside me again and started looking at me, throttling a bit. Open road, no place for cops to hide ahead, so I give him an aknowledging wave of the hand to proceed. Put in in 3rd, turned of traction control, hit it after him, walked away BAD. I'm not making this up, it literally had to be double digit lengths by the time I shut down at ***mph.

Loving the ProCharger!

Hp is right at 500 rwhp. Running a 4.10 pulley, about 7psi. Full Exhaust. 93 octane plus a full can of torco. The car will never see the track, just my street toy. A4, 2.73 gears, probably wouldn't be too hot on the track anyway. But around here, the only races are rolls and freeway pulls like this one anyway. (No track in Jax.) Do plan on a 3.42 rear later this year though, along with some nitto 555r2 tires. Then the car will be well rounded.

SWEET!
I used to live in Orange Park. Still don't know the area that well but I may go up there for a cruise that the F-Body guys have recently started.

Cars like yours are the reason I had to spend all this $$$.

I don't race often, and the only race I ever truly lost (been the victim of many a ricer flyby) was to an '04 Cobra. I was perfectly happy with my mostly stock 'vette with a great sounding exhaust, then a pullied cobra walked me like I was tied to a tree on the interstate one day, at the speeds most advantageous to me. (90-140mph) So I had to even the playing field. Of course now that I have enough, I'll probably run into a whipple or kenne bell cobra tommorow and have to start saving all over again for forged bottom end, trannsmission, etc. to run more boost.

If your in Jax watch out for the Supras, Joe's car, *****'s black mustang turbo SN95, and LEO's black turbo cobra. You guys have some fast *** cars down there.

I actually followed your whole install thread that Stephen did. your car is an beast now for sure. Becareful though, boost is addicting and I feel that a forged bottom-end is in your futur.

Yeah, he did a great job!
Before more boost, I really need to upgrade the gears though.

How much power do they put down?
The guy purged some nitrous as well, but it was 1st night with the blower and I didn't want to end up in a telephone pole.

Depends what year M3's.
ALL of them take considerable and I mean considerable upgrades to make it competitive with a vette. They are kinda porky.

speaking out of my *** at the moment:
e36, maybe ~200whp stock?
e46, maybe ~270whp stock?
and nitrous on a E46? THAT sounds like russian roulette with 5 bullets loaded!
Your putting down what, 500whp? You should be scared only if that m3 was putting over 600whp. Even then... race him a couple of runs and wait for something to blow out the bottom of his block. Sorry, couldn't help that comment... seen a few E46M's blow motors road racing.

A friend of mine ran 10's with that same set up in a 6 speed car. He was 505rwhp. He also did a 550rwhp tune on the car, but I don't think he raced it with that tune in it.

Definately. Still getting used to it. The car in stock trim (a4 w/ 2.73 gears mind you) and exhaust was the most radical I've ever driven, so this kind of power is a whole new experience. Hopefully the newness will last a while and keep the mod bug at bay.
