99 SS vs 03/04 Mach 1 Yeah last weekend, i raced another mach 1 in my area. I saw him up ahead of me and he got caught by a yellow light. So i speed up and try to get stopped right beside him, but i dont get there in time. Right before i get stopped it turns green so im still rolling. Well be both get rolling from about 15 or 20 mph and we both hammer it. Well 1st gear it was dead even, by the end of 2nd i had 1/2 car, and by the end of 3rd i had 1 1/2 cars, and then i missed 4th so i shut it down. I know he didnt miss any gears, because he caught 2nd and 3rd. Heres the funny part, he gets back up beside me again and says, " Lets go again from a dead stop for $100" i said, "If i had $100 on me, i would take your money", well he asked me again, and i said "dude do you not see that i have et streets on the back and your on a street tire!"
he said, " i dont care lets go", so at this point i knew he had nitrous if he still wanted to go for $100. So i open my bottle up and get some in the lines and then purge it to let him know i have some too! Then i shake my head like no no no...IT was so funny! and the look on his face was too. It was like a oh **** hes got it too look. I think right there he relized that i would have taken his money and then he backs off

I think this Mach 1 had some bolt ons, because i pull my buddies Mach a lot harder and his close to stock. I wanted to take his money, but my clutch has been sticking to the floor when i spray it because the stock clutch just cant handle that, so im scared that it would have messed up again.

Nice kill.
Stock for stock, Mach-1's are usally pretty close to LS1's. Soooo with some minor bolt-ons, which this guy must have had, they can probably hang pretty well. Might be why it was a better race then your usual race with your friends Mach.
On a side note........ The paint job on your SS is SICKNESS! How much was it?

I usually dont like flames but those flames look REAL!!
