Default Turbo SS "rapes" 03 Cobra...prison movie style!

My bro's 03 Cobra at 14psi. He dyno'd at 454 and 473 give or take a couple.

We ran from about 40 - 100 starting in 2nd. We beeped it off and due to a smidge bit of lag, he pulled me initially by about half a car. My front bumper is at his door and I'm thinking...common turbo . Right then, it fully boosts and I take off after him.

He shifts later than I do...filthy DOHC!! Well, I hit 3rd right before he shifted and that's when I blew by him like he was standing still. By the end of 3rd when I let off, I was about 2 cars on him. At that point, he/his car was taking it up the *** begging for a reach around, which he would not get...not by me of course...

We slowed down to 60 coming up over a hill, then passed a cop . Good run IMO. We raced from 50 in 3rd gear a few weeks back before I got my exhaust wrapped. Took me till 4th gear to pass him. So, the wrap really helps!

67mm hair dryer in the back of car...you know, the kits that are completely worthless and don't work at all.

6.5ish psi...stock clutch and rear-end ~~480rwhp and 490rwtq...maybe a bit more

Good kill but if I had raced anything and by 4th gear only beat it by two cars I wouldnt exactly call that a prison rape, not taking anything away from your kill. The last C6 kill I had was more prison rape than that.

We were still in 3rd when I let off and I was still pulling away. In a race like this, 3rd and 4th gears are my money makers . Stock clutch is holding up well actually. About 2k miles on it and it has not given me any problems. The car only has 36k miles on it though.

They certainly work. No question about that. They just can't compete
with their front mount cousins. I'm not talking about one race. I'm talking
going rounds and winning races consistently. It just doesn't happen.

Good kill. I seriously considered a rear mount setup, but I don't think they work with subframe connectors and I'm definitely not getting rid of those.

I tend to agree based upon the kits that I've seen.
