Laid claim to my first Porche last night
I was on the way to take my girl home last night when I saw a silver carrera had to be 2000 or newer .I saw the guy racing around with a little Itchurpussy Eclipse gst so I caught them at the light.haha I looked over at the guy in the Porche with his windows down and politely asked,"Whats the re-sale value on that ?" haha his eyed turned red the light turned green and before I knew it I had three lenghts(corrected haha tired) on him and he was fadeing in my mirror. Not sure how fast a Porche Carrera is but I felt pretty good being that he probably spent at least 5-8times what I did

Fact is, most people settle on lesser cars because they can't afford anything else.

Nice Kill. I believe the non turbo'd carrera's are mid 13s generally....somebody more familiar with porsche's can chime in...and I would be pretty happy too. I love putting the 'high dollar' guys in the place when it comes to drag racing.

A 6spd 996 (98-05?) is a low 13s car... basically right with/slightly behind an LS1 C5. But I can guarantee you that you beating him in your Camaro did not make him feel bad about owning a Porsche. It's still a Porsche.

I would feel bad..........Then again, I dont' buy cars for the name and flaunt them around thinking I am tuff shiat, like most porsche/vette owners around here.
DISCLAIMER - that was not a knock on all vette owners. Honestly, I just run into alot of snotty vette owners.

From what I've seen, carreras are mid to low 13 second cars, so definitely a good kill.
