Default 01 Z28 runs bikes for 1st time!!!

I was on my way home the other night with a buddy, when I have a group of 10-12 bikes come cruising up on me. Usually they won't mess with the cars around town b/c they know they win, however I've wanted to run one since installing the bottle..just to see how I'll fair. I let one of the 600's (F4I) know I wanted to play so when we got to the highway we went from a 40 roll, I hit it first and at 120 when we let off, he was at my bumper and holding. We came up to a light and he drove up into his pack, said a few words and then I see 8-10 helmets look back at me and throw some revs. The light turns green and the group motions for me to rool up front of them for the lead bike.. I get up there and its a gsxr 1000, I knew better, but whatever we went for it, I got killed by about 4 lengths at 130. We slowed down and ran an R6 twice both times pulling a car by 120ish. At the next light I received several "thumbs up" and the R6 told me that I had a badass carr. One of my goals has always been to keep up with a 600, let alone pull one slightly. So needless to say this was one of my best nights ever. I haven't taken it to the track at all, so I'm still curious as to what my time will be. Tell me what you think!!! I'm running a 100 dry shot on top of mods in sig.

I was doing some research on both the F4I and the R6 and there is no way I beat the bike, only the rider, which I assumed. They both run mid to high 10's in the 1/4 and I know I don't run that so they weren't getting everything out of the bikes. Still I liked the experience, it was a blasat and it gives me something else to play around with now instead of mustangs.

NIce kill/death...05+ R6s are high 10@ 125+mph with good rider. Also a roll race is all about the mph those bikes pull 1.6-1.7 60 to run a high 10 with GOOD rider

Not really that surprising. The best time to race a bike is at a roll. the faster the better. I've seen 240sx's pull 1000's no problem, so I know there are plenty LSx's that can do it.

Bikes are aerodynamic nightmares. Its the reason why the 200mph mark is so hard to attain on a bike. The Busa is the most aerodynamic of the bikes by far. It has half the drag coefficient of the other "race" bikes. Thats why all the new 1000's still barely edge them out (at top speed) with 20 to even 40 more HP.

And some of the 600's have actually hit 9's with only being lowered to help the launch. Of course, thats with a really skilled rider. You'd be surprised how much skill it takes to launch a bike. Go to the track and you'll be lucky to see one in the 10's.

Good kill though!
