Default First victim of the TA: Turbo integra

My car: 99 TA
The victim: Some turbo integra

So I was leaving the base after my workout, listening to the sweet sound my shaky, lobing TA when I hit the light that's right after the main gate to the base. There sit a couple of cars and trucks waiting to make a left into the main road, but the fart cannon of the vehicle in front of me caught my eye.

I see his passenger side mirror and notice him looking at me, soon after, the light turns green. He speeds off with fart cannon doing what it does best. As I try to gain my composure because of the X-rays being generated by the power of his extremely large exhaust, I manage take off normally and give it a little gas and finally catch up to him and we do about 60 for a bit. He stomps on it, I put the pedal about half way to the metal and easily pass him. He then tries to catch up after I let go then I proceed to hit the gas half way again and stop his pull and put lenghts on him before his car even passes mine. By this point, he gets behind me and doesn't try anything else. I then give him thumbs up and as he passes me he gives me a smile and 2 beeps, which was cool.

I just bought this car and been driving it for about 5 days now and this is my first kill. Funny thing is I haven't hit the gas all the way in yet, only half way. Gotta learn to drive this a car abit more before I do that.

yah...i didnt see any proof it was turbo'd lol....my buddy has a turbo intergra. When it had the stock LS motor, and a T3/T4 turbo on 17psi it made 300whp and he ran a 12.9 @ 117...they can be fast. Good kill i guess but doesnt sound turbo'd to me if you beat it only half throttle. Just my .02

as many nicely set up turbo integras that I have seen, I have probably seen twice as many setup like garbage, so anything is possible.

I saw the intercooler in the front of it. That' why I said it was turbo.

I guess it was turboed and was only running 2-4 psi. If it indeed was turboed it would have taken ALOT more than half throttle to walk away. Maybe he had what my friend calls an "Interfooler"? The CAI kit that sits in the front to look like an intercooler but it just sucks in cold air.

Well as dumb as it might sound there are a couple companies that make intakes that go across the front of the car that look like intercoolers. If you dint hear anything theres a good chance he wasnt boosted. Almost any boosted Integra is going to be able to hang with a part-throttle race.

a 231/237 cam on a 3600 stall on DR's might be a decent advantage.
LOL!
