Default Devastated a BMW M5 over and over

On my way home from LG Motorsports at about 1 am a beautiful BMW M5 with a wicked exhaust note comes up next to me and looks over. Wouldn't have thought much but he keeps looking over so I ask my fiancee' can we race? She said go ahead baby, this should be fun. We are lined up dead even at 80 mph I am holding 3rd gear and as go to honk for the 3rd time the BMW jumps early. Oh well, I floor it and immediately pull even and put a car or so on him, hit 4th and its a complete walk away. Not even close.

Race 2 same scenario but this time in 4th gear ( I want to see what my car will do). BMW and I go on the 3rd honk even and stay even, but at 110 I am pulling away. By the time I hit 5th I am buses ahead of him.

Race 3 (feeling cocky) same scenario but this time in 5th gear, trying to give the 2 guys a chance. We go on 3, dead even and he pulls hard due to me being in 5th by choice, testing my car. He puts a couple of buses on me but by around 110 I am on him and at 130 have him by a bus or so and I stay in it to over 180 mph. I look in the rear view and he is nowhere to be found. After a few minutes the BMW is back and he's now just trying to run away probably due to embarrassment. I stay within 100 feet of him to take advantage of him getting hit first on radar and we proceeded to make it to Chicago in record time. I don't remember being below 100 mph ever. This started at exit 200 and ended around exit 321. I could be wrong but that is the way I remember it as far as the exits go.

Hats off to LG Motorsports. Louis, Bobby, Sean, Anthony, and Lou Gigliotti I have to say thanks for everything. 3rd time was definately a charm. You guys have my car in the realm of the world supercars for only a fraction of the cost. Thanks a million.

Anyone with info on the BMW M5 as far as specs please post up. Would like to know what I was racing. I know, why don't I do a search, sorry being lazy and I would like to hear from some people that either have driven, rode in, or own a BMW M5. I have to give it to BMW, that car looks nice. But I'll stick with my LG MOTORSPORTS 2000 c5 FRC.

Sounds like it was an '06 or before M5 the way you hammered him. The new M5 is a 500hp V10 and runs pretty good to a governed 155mph. Although if you were in it to 180, it would be pitiful for him. Heavy pigs over 4200lbs.

Glad you got to stretch her legs some on the ride home! :lol

Yes I know, a little lame but hey that's what the guys were running. They wouldn't slow down. I tried to slow down but they would only hold 80, and then run away. So I raced them in 3 different gears, each time from 80.

Hey Ron, the emblem on the back looked like this BMW M5 //// V-10

I believe it was the 500 hp model. The exhaust on it may have been an upgrade, because it didn't sound refined at all. The note was loud and raspy.

Had to be (unless doofus just bought an emblem), cause the earlier models aren't V-10s. That's freakin' bad dude! I ran one down a few months ago from a 70 roll, but I couldn't leave him that bad with my poor little A4.

Those are nice cars, good kill. My friend has the older m5, so the v8, and that thing is nice. Weighs a ton, and its turn radius sucks, but it just pulls and pulls. The new ones have too much technology for me though, you actually have to push something for it to get all the 500hp, stupid to me. But nice kill dude, those are meant to be driven on the highway.

Not really, you can select a more streetable mode, but it doesnt default to it. There is also a 500HP then a 500 HP Sport mode.

I got in the way of a bmw 5 series with the sporty airdam today not on purpose but he was flying in the left lane and was nose to tail with me at 80 I put it in 4th and go up to 100 still there go into 5th til 5500rpm finally get a 1/2 car gap but I think he and I were close to tapped out I'm riding in a truck. He seemed to be very happy as was I, he gives the thumbs up and I wave back to him. It was really fun to have a non-american car in that kinda race. I have no idea what speed I was going speedometer only goes 100 but I remember saying 5500 in 5th was enough and tossing it into 6th and seeing about 3500rpm and cruising it down.

Well with a 6 speed and 3.73's 5500 rpm in 5th is about 150mph
And you said you shifted to 6th and it was 3500 rpm which would be about 143mph so I would say 145mph would be a safe bet on your speed.

Thanks for the compliment. I just raced my buddy Fadi and his c6 zo6. He got me by just under a car length and also by 1 1/2 cars. I did better then last year with the new cam and ported 90 Fast but I need a little more.

We will race again do another video. I would love to win one.
