Default Modded DSM vs KB Cobra

This was such a fun race because the guy was cool and so was I, no ego. I was cruising and I could hear turbo spool behind me just driving in traffic comming up on my pass side before I knew what it was. A very nice silver DSM.

We knodded at each other but there was a lot of traffic, so we exchanged a few revs and what not. He was ahead of me, I pulled up along side and he was cruising in 2nd gear I could tell so I downed to 2nd. I bumped it a few times to let him have the jump (as I always do, that way nobody thinks I got the jump) and he flat took off! He was a half car ahead and as I wound out second I put him at my back bumper, speed shifted 3 and proceeded to pull rather strong in 3rd maybe about 2.5 cars then let off due to traffic. I slowed in traffic and the light changed quickly but he asked " you have a Kenne Bell don't you? " and I said yes. He said he has a bigger turbo upgrade and it runs GOOD. It really did, and the guy was cool. I waved bye and went back home. Car was MUCH quicker than I thought it would be. Very impressive. If I would have caught a light, I would really have heated the tires and played catch up through 2nd Im sure. Fun kill, LOUD azz turbo too.

Dude you pissed in his corn flakes! I bet he jumped up on your 03 Cobra thinking you had a stock Eaton with a pulley like 80% of the Termis running around. Good kill, I bet you ruined his afternoon!

Great kill.

Was it a 2nd gen or a 1st gen (like mine?)

Any track numbers for your Cobra?

Seconded. THere are some locals here in Colorado with AWD DSMs who have the same traction problems that the OP does.

Always loved supercharged V8s, nothing sounds or moves quite like them.

Yup....not too bad. It was actually 580 and change. We had to shut it down since it started to max out my 42lbrs(95.6% duty cycle)...soo, I need some 60's. But yeah bro, i'd love to go out and mess around a lil. I'm also working out some issues regarding my belt problems. Thats #1 on my list. In the meantime, I don't mind shifting at 6k with the 42's...as long as my damm belt stops popping off. It did feel good on the way home from the dyno....lol.... my buddies that followed me on the way home said it was like a light show everytime I lifted(blue and orange fireballs emmitting from my tail pipes).... lol...

anyways, I'm always down to chill bro.

The tensioner belt? I put a lock washer BEHIND the bolt on mine and it took care of it, without buying the manual tensioner. Give it a try, mine used to fly off all the time, wierd.
