Default 2000 Z28 vs. Saleen?

I noticed what appeared to be a Saleen driving around about a month ago. I happened to see him again last night going the opposite direction. Well I flipped a bitch and he could of went through the light, but apparently he was waiting for me. We went out of town and were all alone and he gunned it from about 55-60 and so I did the same. Within a few seconds I was past him. I noticed it said mustang on the bumper and i'm pretty sure saleens say saleen so I figured it was a kit. I told him to flip a bitch and we'd go back to town from a dig. He said no way cuz he didn't have tires...well all i had was 245's but i said whatever. We went from about 5 and it wasn't much of a race. He did however have 2 passengers. I really don't think it would of mattered much though. I told him he had a sweet stang, but the guy didn't really talk much, but the first thing he asked was what i had. I should of said...."an ls1"....fun times with the stangs

It means to make a "U turn". That saying has been around since the 80's.
BTW Nice kill.

First time I've ever heard the phrase 'flipped a bitch', too. (and I've been around a little bit longer than the 80's).
I liked the pregnantcy responce, about made me fall out of my chair!

We used to call making u-turns 'cutting a cookie'. Don't ask me where that came from.....I don't know

FLip a bitch..that is so old....Unit probably made it up.

Seriously though...good kill. IT depends on teh year as to the rear bumper inquiry. I have only seen them with 'saleen' in the bumper, but I want to say the earlier years did have mustang in the back.......what year would you guess.

FYI - Saleens are pretty much GT's.

Interesting info...i always thought if it said cobra or saleen it's safe to assume that's what they are cuz most people fail to swap out the bumpers when they put on a kit or fake badges. I didn't know that some said mustang..but i don't know much about mustangs and I for sure as hell didn't know "saleens are pretty much gt's" with a body kit on em.

oh btw i wrote up another story on here about my nite 2/2 with some more stangs and yes it was a kit and i know it was an '03 because it said his name and 03 on the license plate

YEp.....Saleens...

S281 - GT with suspension, brakes and body kit
S281SC - same with Roots blower...370 hp (pending year/model)
S281E - Forged internals, upgraded blower.....pretty mean.

Roush -

STG1 - GT with Body kit (Some years offered V6s)
Stg2 - GT with body kit and suspension work.
Stg3 - Stg2 + blower.

These are primarily New edge info. (99-04). but the S197s are pretty close with what they come with regarding options.

Basically good info. Add exhaust to all 3 Saleens and the rest varies with the year of mfg. My 06 S281E put down basically 450/470 to the wheels straight from the delivery truck before any tuning etc. The Saleen blower is much more efficient that the Roush roots-type blower. The 05 and up Saleen S281SC is comparable to a stage 3 Roush...actually a little more BHP.
