MY 2002 s2000 vs. LT1 Z28 M6
so this morning on the way to work i got into it with a red LT1 Z28. he looked to have exhaust, it was loud as hell, dont know what else. we both in the turn lane waiting to make a left, hes in front.
i can see hes eyeing my car in his rear-view and giving me the usual "ricer" look, although my car appears totally stock from the outside.
so the light goes green and hes barks the tire to, i guess, so me whats up. whatever. he stays inside and i go to the outside(to the right) as i have to make a right turn in about a 1.5 mile. as i crawl up next to him he quickly down shifs and take off. i get back into second at about 45 and quickly erase the full car length head start hes got and by the top of thrid into 4th ive got an easy 3 cars on him. he slows, gets behind me and backs way off.
as he passed i gave thumbs up, he showed me who was #1.

I had a 02 S2000. In stock form they are quick. Being so light and small they are fun as hell to drive. Most of the power is way up high and you have to really wind them up to get them to do anything, but when you do they are a blast. With a couple mods or maybe a S/C I cant imagine how fast they could be. And they handle great too.

I raced a S2000 off the bottle (intake, full exhaust) through a couple gears and had no problem passing him. The guy had that stupid exhaust on too

Same here. A yellow 04 S2K... Went from ~50-110 and I had at least 3 car lenghts on him easy. Gave him the jump too! But this was when the LS1 was stock...

Echos my experience too. I raced a s2k both from a dig and a roll off the bottle and didnt have too much trouble putting car lengths on them with I/H/E lt1. (13.5 @ 105 on street tires).

im not into big wings, and F&F, but im into fast cars. the s2k does alot of great things with only 2 liters of power, and when modded then can be nuts fast, but then again theres no replacement for displacement.
oh, and the avatar is just a joke, i love vtec, buts its not gods gift to mankind or anything.

Good kill!
When I had my 1994 A4 TA I raced an S2000 when I was bone stock and he put a car on me. I think he was stock too. I've always wanted to get behind the wheel of an S2000. They seem like fun little cars.
