95 GT against black LS1 SS tonight 3 times

Default 95 GT against black LS1 SS tonight 3 times

Well on the way back from checking the movie times my g/f and I were going home. I was kinda down because I hadn't run across anyone to race tonight so I basically wasted 1/4 a tank. Almost home I see blue headlights and fogs. As we go by I tell its a black LS1 Camaro with exhaust. I tell her I gotta go after him and she said "well turn around". I busted a U and went after him. It took a while to catch back up and I see he is going into Cherrydale shopping mall. This is the place people usually cruise through so I figured he was looking for a run just like I was. I see he was then he did a U turn and I figured this was great, he will be coming right past me. I turned in front of him and he followed as he reved. He had to have got a look at my tag (UD LUZE) and decided he didn't agree. I couldn't see his headlights he was so up my ***. He got next to me and I geared down to 2nd at about 40mph. He honked 3 times and we both punch it. I jump out a car on him and I slam 3rd and my clutch starts to slip. So that slows down my pull on him. I let off at the top of 3rd and had about 3 carlengths on him.

He didn't have enough and got back next to me. This time I wanted to punch it from a 3rd gear roll but he slowed down alittle too much. I was in 3rd at about 3,500rpms which I knew I wouldn't be fully spooled at still I didn't want to have to hit 3rd hard again and have more slipping clutch. He honked 3 times again and we both punch it. He was in what sounded like 2nd and he stayed right beside me until about 4,000rpms where my wastegate opened and BYE BYE LS1!!!! I run out 3rd until 5,600rpms and shift into 4th where I had about 3 carlengths again on him. I hit 4th gear and ran it out to around 130mph where I had an easy 6 carlengths on him.

He gets back next to me but I had to turn left. He followed and got in front of me and hit the brakes. At this point we were on a 2 lane road and there were cars coming so I had to stop. After cars passed he motioned over to me so I got along side him. He said my car was stout and I said my g/f said thanks. Then he reved it up and so did I. We both launch and I was like a bat out of hell because of the 315 Nitto DRs and had him by about 6 or more lengths. We got to the redlight and he got along side me and asked what year. I said "95" and he again said "that things stout". I said thanks and we went on our way. This was a black LS1 SS with black ZR1 wheels with "HAWKS 3RD GEN" across the windshield.

turbo on a stock 5.0 shortblock. Oh and sorry for the long post....first kill worth talking about for a while!

I'd like to have known his mods. His car sounded pretty good from what I could tell and ran strong.

Well then i bet it was a "bolt-on" ls1 too then, since i dont know what you would want to weld to an engine.

What, do you think your 122mph trap speed scared me? You got a quick car but why is it turbo'd and only running 122mph trap speeds? Nicely built 5.0s can do that n/a, when you turbo a v8 it needs to be crazy fast.
