Old kill story I remember, definately a good one! My car at the time: 99 FRC vette, vararam intake, slp loudmouth exhaust.
I'm at the local cruising strip where there are tons of nice cars. I'm sitting in traffic and I see this guy in an eclipse eyeing me. He finally calls me out to race on the interstate, 2nd gear roll. I said ok. He starts yapping about how his "little 4cyl turbo" is going to outrun my "expensive big V8".
I say we'll see how it goes. I follow him out to the interstate and we run from a 2nd gear roll. 2nd gear is close, then in 3rd I start pulling on him pretty hard. By the top of 3rd I have a few cars on him. He's obviously modded because he's "used to beating american cars". We ran again, same outcome. He gets all pissed off and tells me to race his friend. I said ok. His friend comes out with some old *** RX7 turbo or something like that, obviously faster than the eclipse, but just as gay and riced out. I race the RX7 with the same outcome as the eclipse. Eclipse boy didnt like that too much so he starts cursing me out. He also had his girl with him. I told him to let his girl drive next time. He didn't like that too much. They both started yelling so I drove off.

Haha, nice kill.
I know some 4-cylinder turbos can be made to be very fast, but to me, the difference is that my LS1 was already fast BEFORE the mods. Now it's faster. If I run into an LSX or similar, I know it's going to worth my gas even if there isn't much done to it. With those imports, you just never know if you're running an 11-second car (pretty rare) or a 16-second car (much more likely).
