99SVT vs. EVO
Hey guys,
I have a race that happened last night on the way home from the shop and thought I could share if thats ok.
I was pulling out of the shop (putting new plug wires in) and heading north on 75 at the woodstock exit (for those familiar with Woodstock in GA) and a White EVO (dont know what stage or whatever) pulls up beside me. It had a Pickens County Tag! Gold Rims. Looked like the STI rims to me, but what do I know.
Anyway he gets beside me and revs mabye 3 or 4 times (getting very annoyed by this time and trying not to race), but it keeps on and we go from a 2nd gear roll. We both punch it and I leap out around a half car then I shift into 3rd and then put around 1 1/2 between the 2 of us and keep it in third then just keep pulling pretty hard until i shift into 4th then its over! Just thought I would share.
I didnt get to talk to the guy at all. I tryed to get him to pull in the gas station I was because I had to get gas, but he just kept going! His car was really loud and I could hear the usual BOV at points! Very nice (clean car)!
Thanks guys.

If it was loud and had aftermarket exhaust, I'm sure it's not extremely outrageous to suggest that he could have put aftermarket rims on it, as well, perhaps even rims that looked like STI rims.
And you're on an LSX forum. Probably not a good idea to come in here first post and talk about how much it annoys you that someone from this forum might not be able to tell the difference between an EVO and an STI at night, even if he couldn't. That's just a dick move.

Thank you Pewter screamin Mach! I knew it was an EVO! It had the wing and had the evolution badge on the trunk lid! I was like......are you kidding me! Should he have done better than he did?

How do some guys disgrace you? The guy said it was a white EVO with gold rims that looked like STI rims. If he knows what gold STI rims look like and he knows what an EVO looks like, I'm sure it was a white EVO with gold STI rims.

Yeah then either of those car wouldnt have been a close race lol.
My best before the engine swap was 12.9@107 60' 1.81 < Crappy 60' in any awd car
Thats with a Downpipe , and a MBC 21psi~
Which that is a very very good time for those mods on a evo 8
