Default 01 z28 vs. skittle

Today me and my buddy had a chance to run our cars. hes got a stock skittle and i have a 01 z-28 a4 with cutout and a lid. First run was from a 30 roll, i didnt realize he was at 5500rpm and had to shift at 6, needless to say it didnt end up to great for him, he was 2-3 cars back and falling, i shut down at 90 due to the short road we were on. Second run was from a 20, i pulled 2 cars or so and shutoff. The third run was from a 10 punch, i spun a little, still side by side, and once i caught i pulled a car and a half and had to shut it off..

I honestly thought it would be alot closer of a race though, maybe he just sucks at driving..

They're on par with a stock LT1. A stock LS1 should slaughter them.

Nice kills. There's definitely something cool about running stock for stock cars (or close to it), even if you already know what the outcome is going to be.

Hell nah..... even racing for fun I wouldn't want to be subjected to that kinda humiliation. That would be an annihilation... a stock integra Vs. an LS1. Luckily my car was never stock.... as soon as I got it home it was turboed the very next day!!!

I wonder how a stock Type R Integra would do against a fully loaded stock Trans Am convertible. I've got to believe weight would make it close especially if it was a Spoon model assuming closely matched drivers of course and slicks for the Integra....man...I sure do let my imagination get away from me sometimes or maybe I drank too much....Sundrop...

Good kill on the skittle

Stock ones aren't really fast. LS1 are highway beasts

good kill he sounds like a decent driver to me...mod for mod your ls1 will always have the edge. unless you dont mod much and he ends up with a Down pipe, full exhaust a stiffer waste gate(17-18lbs of boost) and a tune, then i wouldnt worry and even if he dose mod he will only be a threat from a roll, RWD>FWD....keep us updated on future runs!

30 roll he should have started in 2nd gear, but he still would have lost in the end.

There's no performance gain in a BOV at stock boost levels.

I still think it's cool running stock for stock, regardless of who's driving what. I'll drive the slower one for all I care; I just love racing. It just gives you a real feel for how fast each car really is out of the factory. Any car can be made fast with the right mods.
