Raced buddy's M5 03 GT...
Well tonight was the first time in about 2 months that I've gotten to drive the ol' Z28. My friend and I got over to another friend's house to hang out. Just so happens that he drives his '03 GT with just under 3k on the odometer. Well I leave just before he does and I wait for him in a parking lot. I see him coming up the road so I go ahead and put it into first and push in the parking brake button, boom he goes flying by and I give chase. I catch up to him going south on the interstate and we throw eachother some revs. Boom he punches it and I throw it into 4th going about 75-80 (**** I shoulda thrown it into third!) I bog a little and he hold about a half car on me until i hit the powerband then boom car lengths start adding up! We ran like this about 3 or 4 times before I peel off and head back home, dude is awesome it was a blast, Hell we're sitting here on AIM talking about it!

sorry it took so long to reply. We were running them on the highway where there was construction going on in the northbound lanes so we didn't go completely full bore. But once I got into my rpm range the car lengths started adding up real quick, we ran a couple times and I'd have to say the most I put on his was 5-6 cars. We would do this then slow down and run again from about 75-80. It was great fun though and I give the guy props, I don't have anything against mustangs really, just wish they'd bring back the 351.

Oh and phantom was right about the barking brake button. I parked and shut the car off so the lights would turn off and I left the brak on until he passed so he couldn't see me. When he got home he called me and told me I should work for FBI or something, he said he never saw me till i was right on his ***. It was all great fun

He was originally lookin for a WS6 T/A but his mom used to work for ford and got him a killer deal on the Stang so he went for it. He was talkin about getting rid of it already and getting a WS6 but I don't think he'll do it.

I think they make these cars look tough, I can remember when i bought my Z, we had to meet the owner down in Claycomo at his bank to get the title signed over, and when I saw it coming down the road with those amber lights on i felt a chill down my spine, that's what they're there for, the tough effect.
