Default 02 WS6 vs. 04 Cobra

So myself and two of my friends went out cruising around today just for fun as it is a nice day. I driving my 02 WS6, Rockets276 driving his 96 formula WS6 and his brother on his Yamaha R1. We met up and were getting ready to leave when a sonic blue(awesome color) 04 cobra drive by. As I have been wanting to run one, I take off after him and finally get him to pull over. Just a some quick chit chat and we line up after we let some cars drive by. Mods for each car:
02 T/A WS6
Shorty headers(probably gain nothing), stock cats and y, slp lm, 4.10s, 85mm intake and throttle body, 226/226 .609/.600 110+2 lsa cam with valvetrain upgraded as well along with a tune.
04 Cobra
CAI(cant imagine that would do to much on a supercharged car) and magnaflow cat-back
Anyways...on to the race... We go from a dig with no passengers in either car and he honks it off. We both go at the same time. Both of us had traction issues but by the time we hit 110 I had about two cars on him. I couldnt tell how much I had him by but Randy on his R1 was right behind me and he was the one that judged the number of lengths.
Stopped and talked to him afterward and he obviously knew I had some stuff done at this point haha but we thanked each other for the race and went on about our ways.

Just some info for everybody as im sure your curious. I didnt gain much from the cam as my setup is holding me back. Before the cam on a mustang dyno it put 320/312 and afterward the cam it put 350/316 on a dyno jet. Needless to say I was disappointed with it but I know my intake and exhaust are holding me back. So im definitely get LTs and a catted y. Its tuned well and I know thats not the problem as Mikey did the install and tune at Rapid.

But anyways I have been looking for this race for a while and was pleased with the outcome.

Here is a vid of my cam...sorry no race vid everybody

Good run, but a CAI on an '03-'04 Cobra is good for ~20-25rwhp so you know

Sounds like it should be a driver's race from a dig if you're really making 350rwhp. The 4.10s probably helped you plus the fact hes heavier and the IRS isn't easy to launch on. The cobra should have a little more top end as I/E Cobras dyno in the 420rwhp area and move out pretty well for such little mods (I've driven my buddy's).
P.S. Sonic Blue is a 03 color

Nice kill. He was probably over the 400rwhp mark and it should have been a good race with you at the power level you stated, I think. Good driving.

Now get rid of those damn shorties and put down some real power.

Good run and like irunelevens said an intake will help those cars more than ours because of the supercharger.

Yeah that's true. Cai/catback can take a 370 rhwp 03-04 Cobra to 400+ real easy. They came very restricted from the factory.

I stand corrected then it must have been a 03 cobra. We both had a good launch and I spun like hell all the way through second gear. From there I slowly kept pullin on him. But not a **** ton though. Yea I am in line for some LPP LT headers and a catted y. Needless to say I was happy with the race but still down about my dyno numbers
My gears definitely helped me out a lot I think and so did the other guy. After we raced we talked for a few and he was like man you were in third when I was still in second. Said he had a six speed and was runnin the stock 3.55s. He said he had traction problems as did I.

Yea I also thought that mustang dynos read lower than dyno jets also. Im not gonna live in the past though and cry about how I probably have the lowest cam dyno numbers on the universe, but rather try to fix things and get it up there.

He also claimed that the 03-04 cobras came factory with forged internals...If that really is the case thats awesome and I wish mine also came with them as well...not to mention a 12 bolt would be have been nice haha
