02 Z06 vs. Supercharged GT C-500
Yesterday I was outside with the neighbor kid and I see the HOTTEST 05 mustang I have ever seen come driving down my neighborhood. It was red with the Cervini C500 Kit. I stoped him and talked for a bit. We agreed to go for a run. So we went to a safe place and he honked it off. We take off from around 65 (the bottom of my poweband) and we go. My face is even with his backseat all the way to around 100 and somthingish. Id say he was winning by a couple of feet till he hit 5th. And as soon as he shifted into 5th I left him. I left him so bad that I thought he braked. So I braked shortly after. Then we met up and talked for a bit. He told me he was pushing around 450rwhp. He then let me go for a ride in it with him. It pulled VERY hard until he shifted into 5th Gear. Its a long gear so there was NO power in it. Anyway..super cool guy.
Oh..and I am still stock.

No kidding. I was shocked to see him pull into my neighborhood. He was only there buying something from my neighbor on Craigslist. It turns out he lives about 4 miles from me. Im suprised I had never seen him before. I took a pic of his car while we were out and I will post it tonight. It looked like the one in this link but only red.

CMS dyno has been dynoing a bit low (about 10-20hp)but Im not worried about the numbers I kicked my bros whatspower? 's 04 Z06 and a C6 *** (both stock)... BTW Ryne(my tuner) told me that my car is surging which you can see in my dyno sheets which with spark plugs and wires it'll be fixed and dyno a bit higher too.... Im more worried about having a safe tune, my time in the track and results in the street...oh yeah and the "butt" power

Yea, its highly unadvisable for us blown 5 spds to get into lots of boost in OD gear. Very bad for the engine. If we can't do it with the first 4 speeds......its best just not to get it done. Boost + OD gear = BAD
Sounds like a wicked cool race you guys had.

I just can not get over how bad the 5th gear was. How could ford make that and be ok with it. Im really suprised I have not heard more about the 5th gear in those. It made me wonder if it was just his. STILL...best looking car I have seen all year.

5th gear in the T5/T45/3650 is damn-near like 6th gear in a T-56. They needed a gas-mileage gear, and that's it.

Well, boosting at WOT in OD gear is a bad idea for any motor....not just the Mustang's. 5th gear in our cars is like 6th gear in yours........just for highway cruising. Its not a racing gear. Like I said, if you need to shift into top gear to stay in the race.......you're probably gonna lose anyways.
