Default Gave A 03 Z06 A Lesson

This isnt a street story but its one I must tell. Last night some friends and I made it out to Irwindale CA, 1/8mi track. It was already like past 8pm and I was getting ready for my last run. It was packed and we had been waiting in line about an hour and then this blk C5 Z06 cuts in front of us like if its cool! We got pissed, we a pay the same and we all wait the same. It was too late for the official to kick him out of line cause it was so packed, so some friends made it so I lined up with him. I have a 02 C5 coupe h/c and I knew if he was stock I would blow his doors off... and I did. I think once he heard my car he got a little intimidated. I did a mean *** burnout in the water box and I actually hooked off the line. Still, I had just tuned the car (in between runs, thank you George from Express Auto, best tuner in socal) and it had been spinning the wheels all night so I didnt even stall it or launch it WOT, but the moment I felt it hook I was gone and ran a 7.6 @ 94.8mph. I think he gave up and coasted it in for an 11sec pass(1/8mi). If you read this buddy (Z06 guy), we're all cool guys but cutting us off in line when it was so packed was messed up. Lesson learned, I hope.

They grip good but you need a mean *** burnout first. Get them a warm as you can. On the street they always dead hook off a roll. Very good tire so far.
