Cool, thank's, that what I thought. Still not bad for a 600. Are the 07/08's much faster, or is 130 about all you can expect out of a 600 regardless?

stock 130 is about as good as it gets for the 600s

I was just wondering since I regularly put 1-3 cars on them from a roll N/A. Obviously rider and driver are not a huge part of roll racing. That is why I am trying to compare the two. I just think my car is faster than the 130 traps I can muster. Is the R6 still the fastest 600?

I ran a 10.53@137 in the 1/4 on my '06 Honda 600RR. All that has been done to it is ram air intake and slip on exhaust.

no either the cbr600rr or the gsxr600 are the fastest. and as for you trapping 137 with only those 2 mods. either your a hella rider and weigh no more than 95lbs or the mph clock at the tracj you went to just reads a little high

Wow, that is a fast MPH. I would guess that you cut around a 1.65 60ft with that time. I know there is a local guy here with a ZX6r that is running high 9's@141. It looks like it must be modded to the moon to run that. We were going to line them up on the way to the track one Sunday when I was FI, but he had a new untested tire on it and was a little scared. I knew the 600's were fast, but I didn't know how fast. It just crack's me up when I read threads about a 400rw f-bod says he waxed one. I am making right around 490rw in a Z06 and can bearly pull on them.

Thank's for the responses guys. I have been out of the bike game for some time now. Knowlege is power.

I know some magazine wanted to see what they could get out of a "stock" 600cc bike.. The fastest one was the R6.. Not for sure which year it was but it ended up running like a 9.93 but I cant remember what the trap was.

They couldn't do it bone stock. All it had done was the front was strapped and it was geared down a tooth on the front sprocket I believe. Unbelievable if you ask me but of course this is with a freaking Pro driver to.

I remember that article. That is why I was asking if the R6 was the fastest. There was very little done to that bike at all. I think it trapped right at 140 as well. Sick.

Liter bike for you my friend. I had a 600cc then a 750cc and they both left me wanting. I never did buy a 1,000cc but I rode a few and they were monsters. I was only 5'11" 175 at the time. But every thing leaves me wanting. When I had 635rw in my Vette it was fun for about a day. Then I wanted more.

Yeah, I'm worried that I have to get something bigger than a 600 cause of my size but I don't want to jump onto something too fast. The only thing I have ever rode was a 125 dirtbike when I was a kid. lol

Well I'm planning on buying one in about a year or so. I'm trying to save now for a nice down payment on a new camaro.

There was one at the track Sunday trapping 127. Seemed like a good rider, but he wasn't a pro.

I just bought a Yamaha FZ1 and its only got a lil over 200 miles on it and I can already tell I want more power.. Its not cutting it. I mean its a good mid 130 trap bike but I want more lol.

And i'm only 5'10" and 135lbs so just think about that for a sec ..

You can get a litre bike to start on, you just have to be responsible with ur right wrist... and always respect the bike....

People get hurt because they think "oh i want more" and don't respect the bike...

My R1 goes 101 in first gear... and it gets there in a hurry... its fun as hell, but its not for everyone... the bikes accelerate so quickly, that everything happens just that much quicker... you gotta keep yourself in check until you get some expereince... i have just over 50,000 miles of riding under my belt .... you learn how to deal with situations at a slower pace, and maybe you will be able to react to them when they're happening at a faster pace

Like you said, it is all in wrist control. Most people, especially on liter bikes, don't respect them. Or as a new rider you just don't know. So instead of getting comfortable and learning your and the bikes limits, you get out there and twist the grip and end up dumping it. But on a 600 from my experience there is less of a chance of overpowering your abilities.
