I was on my way home from eating with my girlfriend when I see this guy and his girlfriend or wife in his new bodystyle S281 sitting at the light. Im like awww damn a Saleen. And my girlfriend is like "race him". I said no that I would probably get smoked and she (not knowing much about cars and how fast one is) says nahh you'll beat him race him. I pull in the empty lane beside the lane he is in at the stoplight and he is behind the car beside me. So we go up athe road some....still not clear to race. He rolls up beside me and gets in front of me. We get to the next light with him in front and me behind at the stoplight. It turns green and I pace behind him in 1st gear waiting on his go. We hit about 30mph and he stomps it. Bam, i hit it right after he jumped out ahead and after 2 secs I started reeling him him. Hit 2nd and pull to his bumper, ****** 3rd while creeping up beside him. Run 3rd up to about 90mph and he is right at the back of my rear wheel. I clearly pulled on him and shut down after I got in front. We get to the next light and he says "Quick car". I tell him thanks and he say's "LT1?". I tell him yes and the mods I have done. He said he was bone stock. Light turns green and we take off slowly. He comes up again and says "Quiack car" again and waves bye as he turns off at the next left. It was the best adrenaline rush I had since i ran my friends C5. The funny thing was is that my friends (A4) C5 that I inched on by like a fender had "BlewByU" on his license plate and thie S281 had "SayBye" on his plate. Hehe. I love it. Thanks racing god's for a good safe helluva race. Thanks for reading.

P.S. Too bad I didnt have my damn digital camcorder. Happens everytime I dont bring it. What do those saleens run anyway?

Probably was. I didnt hear a wine. And im sure I woulda. Thats the main reason I wasnt gonna race. I thought it was blown. No wonder I pulled him that hard. Was still a badass looking car.

I saw a yellow Saleen convertible today. Too many plastic body accessories on those cars. Maybe if they'd strip 'em down, they'd be faster.

i almost raced a 3rd gen i think trans am yesterday ....we both were giving thumbs up and all but for some reason when we lined up at about 45 mph he shook his head ...i was like ok and turned lol i dont know what the hell happened maybe he got scared my **** is a little loud

Watch out for those thirdgens guys, they've been around for a while and not all of them are stock tpi's anymore. A kid at my school has a '90 RS with a 454 crammed in it, too bad he can't drive it after losing his license for DWI's.

I actually raced the first fast 3rd gen I have ever come across tonite. I have no idea what it had done to it, but it sounded quite mean. We lined up going around 20 mph, I was in second gear (ahhh I know) ... he hit it and so did I. Due to the whole second gear thing, he got out in front about a half of car or so, but as soon as I came up above 3500 I started pulling ... hit 3rd and was now pulling hardddd. Waved out the window as I passed on by at a pretty decent pace, and shut down a car or two in front of him right before the end of 3rd. I have to admit, much faster then the normal 3rd gens I run into (I can usually outrun them from a 30mph roll in 5th gear.

My friend used to have an 88 WS6 with a huge cam and heads that ran pretty quick. Never got it timed cause he blew the trans and sold it... Now he drives a 4.6 Stang
