Default Mustang driver in disbelief

So this morning on my way to work heading down Topanga Cyn. a red 05+ mustang rolls up on me. I see he has a chick with him, think nothing of it til he paces me and downshifts. We go for a few SHORT jonts. (Single gear-half of next gear type pulls)

We go from a low 2nd roll. I pull a 1 car before we let off.

We go again from a mid 1st roll. He jumps a fender, i stop his pull and take a car.

Then I dawns on me. I left the damned TCS on. So we go one last time. From 30ish mph. I yank a car off the start and start walking, let off about ~3 cars out

Well he pulls up and we catch a light together, he asks what i have done,

"Full exhaust and Lid."
"BULLSHIT, that's a 383 stroker bro."
Hahaha i couldn't help but laugh. "No seriously, bone stock motor, just LT's, exahust and lid."

Something tells me he still didn't believe me, but we still complimented each others cars. He complimented my plates and frame lol. Then he turned off, and ripped down the street.

It was all in good fun, but something tells me he would not have been a happy camper had we been able to do full on runs.

383 stroker, and he was only pulled by 3 cars? Sounds like he was retarded, good kill on another goofy driver.

Good kill man. Mustang guys are always under estimating the LS1. The guy that tuned my car works out of a shop that does primarily mustangs and all of them were asking where my bottle was when they seen my numbers.

Most people do, they still go by the "305hp" rating.

The general population goes by ratings anyway, they have no idea what 'parasitic loss' or any of that is. They have no idea that the car puts down less horsepower than is stated. Hell, half the people I work with don't even know how much HP the car is rated at

people underestimate the LT1 enough, much less the LS1

buddy of mine has a 92 RS he put a 96 lt1/t56/rear end into along with lt4 hotcam, headers, injectors and other small stuff with 4.10 (or is it 4.11?) gears and every time he raced someone even after telling them what he has they ask to see the bottle or some BS

Hahahaha, good story man. I had a guy in a 99-04 GT think my car put out 400rwhp cause I pulled on him HARD. When I told him, nope just a lid.... priceless expression.

Silly people, gotta love em.

Haha, definitely a good read. He probably just didn't want to seem like a pansy in front of his girlfriend...................because pansies drive slow Mustangs.

Nice kill OP. I'm always more afraid of the mustang that doesn't want to race, they seem to have the good mods and not be total retards.
