He uses DRs and that nets him a 12.1@116.... Up top is where he has a big disadvantage. You also have to remember, the OP is spinning over halfway thru the race.... I just spin in 1st and a very lil in 2nd. BIG Difference. If he didnt spin so much, it would have been worse for the Srt8....

I start to put 1/2 a car on him in each gear.
this race should have been closer the 392 stoker here is putting down 493rwhp/482tq and our 426s are putting out more and the supercharged 426s are @ 600rwhp +/-.

All I know is, is that it puts 469rwhp down.... And has run a best of 12.1 in the 1/4.... On DRs. Like I said, I dont pull him hard at all.... By time the race is done, which is usually top of 4th, I have maybe 1 car or alil more on him.... Nothing crazy at all.

GS Motorsports is the one that that i see most people using. but there are others out for the 5.7 but for mow i think GS motorsports has the 6.1 cornered. there are a few turbo kits out too. the problem with the 6.1 is that you are pretty much stuck with 6-8 psi unless you want to walk home.

My full boltons 97 LT1 A4 with 3.42 gears and 315 street tires beat a stock SRT8 charger hard from a dig and was about tied on a 35 roll (best for charger, and just between first/second for z)

With 390rwhp in a vette you should have killed him, get DRs.

The SRT Chargers are tough from a roll. The Challenger , from what I read, is close to the same curb weight as the Charger, 4100lbs, anyone got the real answer?

Thats just insane to think those Challengers are gonna weigh as much as the old boat Caprices of the mid 90's...but they'll be much faster anyway

A report I saw of it said its 0-60 time was 5.3 I think and 1/4 time was 13.2 @ 107 mph. Thats right in line with f bodies and GTOs and SRT8s..

Nope, size and side impact standards put it within a few lbs of the Charger at over 4100.

True. But 109mph trap speeds stock are common.

OP - tell him to get the Diablo Tuner. I picked up roughly .5 and 3mph at the same track. The shifts are awesome due to torque management being defeated.

The outcome will be the same, but he'll be smiling more.
