Default my first cobra kill.

well last night I was at in-out, I went for a ride to see if my friends lt4 was blowing blue smoke. well this 04 cobra tails us out of there, we stop bs for a minute and set something up.

he asked what I ran I said " it was running 13's last time I was out"

I asked him and he said "never ran it, bone stock "

ok so were both full of ****.

we head back to in-out so he can get his buddy, I thought I would be nice and get a pass./camara man too.

so we agreed to do highway, he says 30-120/130 I agree.

right before we leave he says well I have a little bit of work done to it. I tell him I trapped 110 and he says yeah me too.

first race he jumps like 4 cars right before I get through second, I slowly get back to about 2 cars by top of 4th.

we go again (I'm not liking 30 mph roll as I'm at like 2k in second.)

this time I brake boost a bit, he jumps like 2 cars and we kinda stay like that.

then it hit me this guy has to be in first gear. we meet up at the off ramp, he has a big *** grin and says, "well you tried, nice run though". my reply was "lets try again from 40, I don't want to down shift to 1st on the freeway"
he agrees with a grin and a chuckle. on the way donw the on ramp I told my buddy enough ******* around. put it in high boost (10psi) and flipped the meth on.

so 40 mph roll he honks this time(I did the first 2 runs)

I'm sitting about 3k in 2nd, he jumps about 1/2 car right away while I spool. I catch him and blow by right after I get into 3rd. by the top of 4th his headlights are really small.

he wanted to go again, same **** this time except my dumbass missed 4th, I was 2-3 cars ahead at the top of third I got it in 4th and he was at my door, I didn't bother after that.

I can't help but think what could of happend at 5 psi if we went from 40mph or better yet a dig. what do stock cobra's trap? cause at 7-8 psi and meth I trapped 120 slipping/slidding.

yeah I thought he was pullied, but he won't say. I didn;t really press the issuse,I figured if he walked me at 10 psi then I would make sure I found out.

there were evo's,new gt's, and even a mg coupe with a 2jz and dude follows out a ws6 and a lt4 camaro. he must of thought he was going to beat up on some lsx.

either way it was a good run, I wish I could of ran him at 40 with 5# just to see what happened.

I finished up the rest of my suspension mods today, ready to hit the track again.

yeah 13.3 was terrible. car had bad tires, stock 97k mile suspension and I had the car for 3 weeks. I rolled off the line and hammered it about 15 mph. with a great 2.5 60'. the track sucked, and the car would not stay in the groove.

I have added dr's,umi torque arm,(chassis mounted) lca's,lca relocation brackets, adjustable panhard. should be alot better at the track now. I think with a good 60' and the car not sliding around half track should be good for 125 traps.

at last tune it made 55X whp 57x trq., you really think it would get slower (mph wise) I would think that better grip, not sliding around at half track, and getting a good launch would net me faster times all around. I don;t really know never had a car that trapped over 105 till now.

it could, higher than normal mph is always a sign of spinning too much

with my street tires i would trap 10mph than with my d/r
