T/A vs. RSX type S
So today after school my friend and I are going to other friends house and in front of his house is a road that we usually race on. Its about a 1/4 mile before we have to shut it down. He asks if I want to go and I asked if he was serious. He said he knows he will loose but said he would try it any how. Well so off we went. I got there first and pulled off the road a bit. He pulls up and I roll up a little getting ready to line up for the dig and gets beside me and just leaves. He gets about 4 cars out and I roll into it then get on it. Through 1-2 I gained slowly but not hard. I hit 3rd and it was all over. I then went to 4th and he was long gone. I took it up to 110 before shutting it down. That was a lot of fun.
I thought it was a fairly good race for the jump he got. We both have 6-speeds. me with the mods below and him with the fart can mod We're good friends and have a lot of fun doing things like this.

There slow....I beat a turbo RSX type-slow with 15 psi by a train length.

Yeah, about the best you're gonna get an RSX-S to run N/A without doing extensive work is low-mid 13s on a perfect day. I/H/E/Hondata tune and that's mid-high 13s, and then ported head/cams is worth a bit as well. So good kill OP.

rsx is good for driving to work and getting good gas mileage. For an n/a 2L it makes good power, relative to it's design. Just like most popular small displacement cars (sti, evo, cobalt ss, srt 4) they would do great with boost. Cool thing about them is that Jackson Racing makes a c.a.r.b legal s/c for it which is always beneficial.

Check for yourself... It's more like 190-200whp depending on dyno/conditions, but a Hondata tune and a CAI picks up a LOT of those cars. Enough to make it *possible* to hit 13s with just those two mods. I personally know somebody that did 13.9 with just those.

i agree with irunelevens, that sounds about right and probably happens more often than not with a catback or header also. But you also need to be a good driver if your going 13.9x with bolt-ons with a k20a2. These are good numbers for a naturally aspirated 2L sure, but won't challenge an ls1.

Hmph. Well I guess I should get my buddy to do that so at least it's not a murder every time we run. Of course by that point I'll have a boost controller, intake, and prolly a down-pipe/exhaust so it still won't be a close race.
