Default How would I do against mid-level crotch rocket?

Ive always been under the assumption that cars can't touch crotch rockets unless they are superfast.

A friend of mine has a kawasaki ninja 600 and wants to run em soon. I want to race even though I assume i would lose.

He thinks with nitrous I may have him.

Car ran 12.7 @ 116.7 cam only, bad 60 footers.

I now have a wet nitrous shot on top of that. Sprayin 75 now, gonna work up to 125-150

Do you have a 200mph speedo in your TA too?

If you spray around a 100 shot of nitrous, you should be able to keep up with/pass him at higher (100mph+) speeds. But from a stop, it will be rape if he can ride.

Bikes in that range haul down low and mid range, but way up high they tend to fall down a bit. Spray the biggest shot you're willing to and you may have a shot depending on your and his driving. The higher you go, the better chance of ending up out from. The lower you start from, the worse the chance.

You also don't mention a year, which makes a big difference. Even the slowest bikes will trap low 120s with a decent driver in most cases.

Just to give you an idea of a bike vs car.
Bike being 600cc runs 10.6s-11.2 pending driver.
your car with great 60ft. 150shot. 11.0-11.5s

To say a bike falls on its face top end is crazy. maybe 150mph+ top end. I just sold my bike witch was a 750cc ninja. One heavy bike. Raced plenty of fast cars witch faired no chance on the street. I ran 10.7 with my bike. Only chance you have of winning is racing from 60mph roll or higher.

Good luck though. Whatever you do don't race from a stop. if so say goodbye.

Ya a 600cc will usually not pull great up top. So try and get him to run you from a 70 kick. Bc that will be him in first gear almost wound out. You should most likely get him from a roll. A 1000 is a totally different story.

I have a 2006 honda cbr600rr with a smaller front gear, high flow air filter, 260 tire, and a tune. My bud's got a 03 cobra with pulley, cai, full exhaust, geared, DRs, and a bunch more... and I can make him look stupid from any speed (we run everytime he does a new mod...which is often). He always jumps ahead from the dig, because I can't keep the front wheel down, but by the time I click 3rd its over. From a 100 - 150 its no contest.

If your friend has been riding long enough not to be scared of power shifting @ 1400 rpm he will make you look ridiculous.... even if he shifts @ 11k, you will lose badly.

But, I say do it anyway.... cause its always damn fun!!!!!

^^^

If thats all your friend has this guys f body will make more power and is lighter.

You can run with a 600 in your car on a 150 shot. He will shoot out at first because of alot less weight but you will catch him.

^ the only mods in his sig are bolt ons, suspension and a converter. I agree that with a 150 shot he would run a little faster than the Cobra. But, I'm thinking at least a 250 shot, full exhaust, DR's and a decent rear end to even come close to staying just behind the bike.

Phenom, please give a list of all your mods... do you have at least LTs and ORY?

{You can run with a 600 in your car on a 150 shot. He will shoot out at first because of alot less weight but you will catch him.}
You will catch him because he will be on one wheel. When he touches down half way through second gear.... it will look like you let off the throttle.

I'm not trying to get in a pissing match here... but I've been racing bikes for 5+ years (honestly, I still have a long way to go to learn everything about dragging cars). How many bikes have you raced/ or seen raced necro? (I'm not calling BS, just want to compare notes to learn how to make my bikes and car faster)

just noticed you didn't give a year for the kawi your racing. There is a big difference between a 2003+ compared to anything older. if its a 98 or older it will be a good race

spraying a 1oo shot or bigger it will be a good race from at least a 50 roll. it usually take around450+rwhp to start hangin with 600s, 600rwhp for 750s and at least 700rwhp to hang with 1000s

If you srpay the full 150 it will be no problem. 600's are slow.

When my Goat put 480rwhp I was just slightly ahead of a 600 from 70-140 . I know they are gov around 155 so I would have really left him at that point. When on nitrous (150)my friends 600 did not stand a chance neither did a C6 Z06

well for your situation im not sure. but one of my friends has a wicked hatch civic thats runs 11s, he ran a GSXR 600 and was maybe 1-1/2 car lenghts behind him, mind you that the civic had really shitty tires on it. before the honda bashers come out, this civic doesnt have a wing or even a fart can!!! it has a H22 turbo powering it and its is LIGHT stripped down to almost nothing. good luck it will be tough!

also depends on the rider of the 600, if he is almost a prorider that could make a BIG difference.
