Default Ran a 06/07 gt...

Earlier today I saw a nice gt with pillar gauges, blah blah but of course with nice sounding exhaust... I been wanting to run these for a long time now so I threw a rev and when I glanced to see the driver it was a good buddy I had in high school football.. He quickly floored it and I got this big grin on my face

We both slowed down. Started chatting and I told him lets run em. We go 2 a nice access road with no traffic.. First Race, 20 roll and 3 honks I get out on him and quickly 3/4 lead and by 2nd I'm prob a lil more than a car on him but by the time I hit 3rd gear my clutch is acting up so he closes in a lil and I'm slowing down. 2nd Race, same roll and this time he get a quick jump on me on the 3rd honk so he is quickly a full car on me but same scenario like the first with my damn clutch 3rd & 4th races were like the first I pulled him but I couldn't get a clean shift from 2-3 or 3rd to 4th..We raced like 6 times and I say it was 4-2 in favor of my car.. We did a quick hwy run at 60 and I'm in 2nd and lets just say I go him pretty good except by the time I hit 4th my clutch pedal stayed down... I say I should of won all races but I have this clutch issue for a while already but I should be buying my clutch by July...ls7 or prob a spec

We pulled over to the gas station talked about our mods and caught up a lil on life::

His was 4.10s, M/T et streets, tune, exhaust and MINE are in Sig w/ no tune

Got his no. so we should meet up 2nite at this hangout and maybe get a few more runs..I'll make sure to take the camera for few vids

Good runs, and I'm sure your car is faster up top... I just wonder how you got a jump like that from a 1st gear roll against him since he has a very aggressive first gear, 4.10s, and MTs.

Yeah, but I'd like to know how long it takes you to reel him in, and if it could be done within an approximate 1/4 mile.

Good runs.

Why are you trying to run him again when your car can't even get a clean run? Just fix the clutch and then run him so there is no excuses

Sounds like you need to get your transmission/clutch checked out.
