my 07 gt vs. 99 ws-6
well its been a long time since ive been on here but after reading sum posts about 05+ gt's losing every race against ls1's i have to back my new car.
i have an 07 gt 5spd manual with longtubes, resonated h-pipe, pypes mid muffler catback, JLT2 cai with brenspeed 93 tune and stock 3.31 gears. car dynoed 317 hp and 336 tq, if i figure out how to attach pics i'll show 1 of my dyno pulls. run consistent 13.0's @ 111 mph with 2.1 60's. every thread on here says 3v's have no top end and not a very good tq curve. well coming home from getting dynoed a 99ish ws-6 pulled up next to me on the highway. no 1 is in sight so i figured wut the hell ive been wanting to run my old car to c how i did against 1. we slowed down to 45 and i down shifted to 2nd, honked 3 times and we were off. by the time i hit 3rd i had a good car length on him and pulling very hard. he was def an auto so i know i had sum advantage with that. i let off around 140 and i had about 6 cars on him. he stayed in it cuz he passed me. after he slowed down i caught up to him and gave him a thumbs up and he did the same.[IMG][/IMG]

i know i dont usually take it that high but it was more of an addanelin rush where i wasnt paying much attention to my gauge cluster untill i felt i pulled on him enough and let off, then i realised how fast i was goin

07 and up 3.31's were standard and 3.55's were the option. and i specifically wanted white with blue stripes with black leather interior and a manual. well i got everything i wanted so i wasnt goin to complain about the gears

good kill but i would go to at least 3.73. im runnin 3.90s. but i would love to run at the track you ran at because i think there speed might be a little off. because i have never seen a bolt-on 3v trap over 109. when i had the same mods as you +underdrive pullys and gears i was trappin 108-110 multiple times.
btw good lookin car!

well of course a bolt-on ta won't give you a match... you're running a turbo setup and any bolt on ls1 who runs ya pretty much knows nothing about cars and is not in it to win it.
I'll let ya off since you in a diff category from the bolt on mustangs but I don't blame ya for going that route esp. w/ a mustang...peace

brian ive raced at 2 tracks. and i know norwalk raceway is def accurate. my best trap speed is 110.61 there but at both tracks i never trap slower than a 109. and yes that t/a was probably stock, i know wut an ls1 is all about my old ws-6 ran 12.50's

thanx brian, those times were on the stock pirellis and i think my best 60ft with those is 2.0 but that was before the tune. it also had very bad wheel hop back then so i had to take it easy. now ive got a few suspension mods and it took care of the wheel hop. im looking to get a set of M/T cheater slicks for the stock bullits so i can really cut that 60 down. ive only wan it 1 time with my fr500 rims and lets just say i'll never do that again. between the rims being 8 pds per side heavier in th efront and the rear 10.5 pds heavier + my rear tire is only 25.2 inches tall. i lost a few mph, best time was like 13.1 @ 108 mph
