dumdumdumdumdum vs. 99 z28 So i got a buddy at school with a 04 dumdumdumdum and keeps talkin crap about my Z. We recently dynoed his car and it made 260whp. and i got a stock 99 z28 A4, 2.73 with a lid and fresh tune. You guys think i could take him and what would be the best race for me?

if you cant go from a stop then go from a first gear roll. and do yourself a favor spend a few hours working on your car and do these FREE mods: you will gain like another 10-15 horsepower the only thing i would not do is porting your maf, but i would descreen it.

curb weight of 2,899 take that and his supposed 260 fwhp
1hp is pushing 11.2lbs for the dumdumdumdum
take a generic 3600ish ls1 with a lid mabe 300 rwhp
1hp to 12 lbs ratio.
so dont be as light hearted as KW4life06.
he most likely is a stage 2 and probly runs 8.8ish in the 1/8 and probly 13.5 to 13.7ish range in the 1/4 ( a very Rough Guess) you being pretty much stock with 2.73 gears it could be a very close race and dont be shocked if you lose. not saying you will but the 2.73 gear are going to hurt you.
