Default 99 Z28 VS 300zxTT and Boosted RSX-S

First off, i drive a 99 Z28 A4 with lid and cutout, and superchip flash.

Last night got a couple runs with a "built" 300zx, upgraded both turbos, a bit of internal work, also an A4. It was apparently a ridiculous freeway monster so we went from 60 3 times and 35 once.... the 60 rolls i took him by about 3 cars each time, and the 35 roll i put bus lengths.

The RSX-S is making about 310 at the wheels on 9 PSI... i had heard alot of good things so i went with him on the freeway cuz he "didnt wanna start below 40" he was having "boost cutout problems". whatever

so we go from 50, as anyone with 2.73's knows, im ******* useless from a 50 roll but whatever, lost by about 4-5 cars from 50 to 120.... went one race from 60 and lost by about 1-2 cars. He was cool though and it really is a sweet car.

You'd think the guy would want to go from a lower gear.
The higher the gear, the longer he'd be in boost.
If he DID have a boost cut problem.

aye 310 whp from that rsx he should be way out of your league. he has a pretty good power to weight ratio compared to you. or am i just mistaken on how much those cars weigh?

He's lying if he says he has upgraded turbos. Maybe replacements for when he blew up his, but that's it. He's also lying about the internal work, the stock internals can easily hold 500hp. Not to mention people have pushed almost 400 to the wheels on the stock turbos, he's full of it...

I don't personally drag mine, but I know from experience that he is more than full of it.

Evan- I think we should meet up sometime and have some fun with the cars! I usually dont get a chance to hang out with other LS F-Bods.

he might not be lying his idea of upgraded internals might be clevite bearings and he might have better turbo's but no race gas to take advantage of them. Also you have to consider if he set it up right because if he has stock gears and stall that z will not see much time in its powerband where it needs to be. Along with the extra weight that it has. Sorry to play devils advocate but i was just tossing that out there.
