LT1 vs Saleen Mustang

LT1 vs Saleen Mustang Nothing pisses me off more than arrogant ******** with mommy and daddy's money. I was inspired to retell this story from 2 years ago.
When I was in high school I worked my *** off at Zaxby's to buy my Dad's 96 Formula that was Cammed, 3800 Stall, and a 12 Bolt 4.10 geared rear end (I dont know how this thing shifted with such a high gear but it did) and had all the bolt ons, Tuned and Nitrous (I miss that car so much). The first day with it Im approached by this ******* who had convinced his parents to buy him a Saleen Mustang because he saw it in 2 fast 2 furious. He says "Nice car...too bad my car will **** all over it." Im like Mods? He says stock straight from Saleen. So I pretend to ablige him but inside Im boiling inside that I just worked my *** off for this car and he wants to brag about about his Mommy's Money saleen. So I said you know you're probably right but just for the hell of it lets meet after school at X road.
He acts all suprised and was like you really want to race me? Im like yeah it would be fun. So we meet up we agree to race from A point to B point. We leave and as expected he begins to pull away from me then I hit the Nitrous and begin to gain on him and as Im passing him I see the most priceless look on his face "Like NO Im supposed to win this one" and I get him by a half a car at the stripe. Dont know what the distance but I was at 149 by the time I let off.
He does a ricer flyby on the way back flicking me off. At school the next day he refuses to ever acknowledge that the race happened so I posted it on youtube (Took it off when I was in the police academy and was trying to get a job) But now he refuses to acknowledge that it was his car or him driving it.
Sold the car (and my other LT1..owned 2 formulas at one time) to buy and build a LS1. I miss it so much. *Sniff*

nice kill man, those always feel good. But I'm with everybody else wondering if it was the s/c one, cause if not you shouldn't have needed the spray if you're cammed.

A decent driver can run 12s in a new S/C Saleen... the N/A ones are mid 13s, just like the GTs. The New Edge S/C Saleens were low 13s most of the time, and the N/A ones would OCCASIONALLY get in the high 13s.

Well the S197 was new back then, but I think it was a New Edge Saleen in the movie (2Fast 2 Furious, which was mentioned) so only the OP knows what kind of car it was.

Kinda how I got my S/N. Cocky kid in an older Saleen S/C wanted to run at like 1 in the morning. We were dead even when I was stock until about 90 when I pulled a nose.

I dont think its so much the fact it was free. More so the kid in the saleen being an *******, bragging about his car and having a underserved sense of accomplishment. Glad you beat him! To bad you couldnt get him to run again.

It had the same body style as the Saleen in 2f2f, it had a supercharger and he CLAIMED it put down 600 horsepower. And he claimed it was stock. I dont know too much about saleens or mustangs in general so draw your own conclusions from that.
