Talking Finally I got to race a MACH

Today at lunch I ran azure blue Mach, clean car with some fat tires. We did two dig races. Both times we were next to each other the whole race until 90mph then he started pulling away till 110mph and we shut them down. He shifted perfectly. He got me by 2 lengths. I have to say that is the closest races yet and the Best ones.... It was awesome. I expected mach’s to get me on low speeds and I would have to play catch up on the higher speeds. Pretty cool guy. After the races he said he only had and x pipe and cat back. His car sounded loud as hell I think he had race style dual mufflers plus some other mods he wasn’t saying. He said he had race a TA with a lid only from a roll and the TA got him. His passenger videotaped the races with his cell phone so I should be on u tube. . I even give them the up as they roll by me The passenger said I did good burn outs off the line . but i didn't mean too I didn’t get any numbers for the video. I need more mods and sticky tires.
Peace

Im pretty sure that its just the s/c'd one and him. In appearence theyre almost identical but the bolt on one is way louder. Im pretty sure it was the same dude. He had more than he may have let on though, 4.10's, LT's, cai, tb spacer, tune, and all you mentioned before. Dont worry dude, $400 and the headers are on the car and with a retune at least 15hp +. after that 3600, 4000, or 4200 stall then gears then a MS3 and thatll never happen again haha j/k.

Realistically though lets just get the headers on and run it through your stock (catless) exhaust. It wont be loud like mine but itll be pretty much the same (we wont open that can of worms). Ector isnt a sniffer test county so your all good as long as it comes out the *** end of the car (just dumps are illegal). At the same time we will do your EGR block off - $30 kit and its the best time to do spark plugs if they have anything over 10k - $60 NGK TR-55. Kinda like we were talking earlier - all the tuning in the world wont help worn out or improperly gapped spark plugs. The ones in both my f-bods were all over the place from like 30-50 in some cases, wires are cheap too $50 if ya just want new ones, good spark for sure then. Well clean out your throttle body and make sure the mass air is clean. Im not sure if your car has been seafomed $13 but its some good **** for any 100k+ LS1. I know you got your B-day plans but collect this **** over time and we will knock all that out in one day and you do your tuning thing and i promise itll be a whole nother beast. Parts aside $100 and youll never touch a wrench, just cause ya got the pimp salad shooters. Drop it off Fri. night and you can start hunting for the Mach by Sat. night. Sound good? In due time of course.

Roy, ive found that you dont need cams, nitrous, or even converters to beat 90% of the **** you realistically meet at a stoplight on your daily cruises (since you nor i really look for these races they find us... well, ok maybe just you, but still). If you just got a full list of bolt ons and plenty of spark, air, and good fuel youll smoke almost anyone. And MOST IMPORTANTLY FOR YOU the car will still easily be daily driveable you might even get slightly better MPG's, def better throttle response, driveability and so on. And headers through even catless stock exhaust isnt that much louder than stock while crusing. Youll love the meanness of it when your wide open though. The kick you in the pants factor def goes up with headers. Im tellin you dude you better turn back now because the mod bug is like crack once you start you cant stop, REALLY!!! Your wife is gonna leave your *** over line locks, drag slicks and stroker kits before you know it....But if your still interested we will "git 'er done" hehe. Matt

Yeah they do bro. They are just 28's on 15" Drag lites. You can either shim them to fit or grind your calipers. I say shim the front and grind the rear. That is all it takes.

How do you figure that? My car went 8.11@84mph with just a catback, drop in K&N filter, and sticky tires in the rear. It doesn't take much to get these cars to run good. Driver mod is the best mod ever though.
