Well my friend just bought an 03 cobra with 33,000 miles today for a really good deal. As soon as he got off the lot he called me running his mouth saying you better get those longtubes on plus some extra cause i was putting my longtubes on today. Well it is completely stock right down to the factory air filter. Pretty rare of a find but anyways hes telling everybody at the meet that hes gonna kill me and that my car is slow and all kind of stuff. Well i said lets go race then and he said thats fine. I truthfully expected to get beat by about 2 cars. Well i asked for a 45 and he agreed so we get to the spot and i honk it off and imediately jump about half a car and keep pulling till about 2 cars and was like wtf? So i let him catch up and he sais he forgot to take traction off so i said lets go again. We line up again from a 45 and this time he honks it off. I jumped again like i did before and just kept pulling this time but not as hard. By the time i hit 4th i had a full car and was creeping on him . I was exstatic that i just beat the infamous 03 that was supposedly gonna kill me. The best part was that his gf was in my car and was laughing the whole time Oh by the way my car is a 99 z28 with full exhaust and a lid through a m6 with stock gears. As soon as we got back to the meet he started with the exscuses about how i got full exhaust and that i should just give him a kn filter and he'll be beat me. I just laughed the whole way home haha

Im pretty sure youll get him. I only have longtubes off-road y with slp catback and new wires and plugs and a lid and i beat him. Are you a4 or m6?

Most think those are supercars in stock form, which they are not. They are heavy cars and require quite a bit more power just to hang with a decent LS1 6 speed from a roll. I beat my buddy over a year ago when I had a catback by a few tenths in the 1/8th mile at the track.

Good race with a cold air and mufflers and a small pulley his cobra will respond well with few mods. Good luck when he starts modding.

I ran one that had a cat-back and intake and had him by two cars from a dig-110.

Its funny how a people think they are the fastest things out there...and that they cant be beat. I personally like them and love that fact that they have forged internals and can be modded so easily. Guy with a 02 mustang gt was defending them sayin that there was no way that i beat one.

Yeah i like them a lot to. They dont even feel like they are moving when they are. Im getting an ls6 intake and underdrive pulley and a tune and cant wait to race him then I should beat him pretty bad then i think as long as he doesnt do anything to it

Same story I ran an '04 with intake and exhaust and from a dig put about 2 cars on him in about a quarter. He pulled a half car on launch also. Forged motor and easy to get a lot more out of them though.

Good kill but Im sure he will get much better at driving it since that was his 1st day with it. Tell him to keep his mouth shut and let his car do the talking.
