Default more UFO sightings!

damnit, damnit, damnit!!!!! got ripped up again this weekend by another black cobra and a damn silver nitrous abusing foxbody! the closest thing to a win was neck and neck tie with a H/C/I vert fox with the damn top down,he too would have probably beat the **** out of me with the top up and a non-grinding tranny! am I the only one on here that continuously runs into fast *** cars? I mean I'm not fast but I did think my heavy turd was quick! 7.9 1/8 before the TUNE and MT DR's(no new track times as of yet) but **** cars these days are freakin' fast! I did see 10secdreamer get some revenge for me bye whoopin' those same two stangs and a few others, bro-ham that car is FAST! I was hoping to race this LS2 vette that was hanging around and the vert whooped on him so I was thinking I could get one win at least but we never lined up! anyways people if your in the dfwarea ANYWHERE on a saturday night beware..................there are some fast ****'s roaming the streets!

The reality of it is that a 7.9 1/8th mile is not fast these days.
A 6.9 1/8th is getting quicker (~10.90 1/4).

ouch! (i hope your strictly talking among track cars) cause ive never found myself next to a 8.0 car that could do it like that on the street. OP was on the street right?

What altitude is the track you ran your times at OP?

Kennedale(Texas raceway) and like I said this was with just walking it out the hole the BFGs would not hook, and with no tune so I crossed the finish line off the throttle! but now I have a TUNE and MT DR's but all these races are on the HWY(not my race, from the dig is better suited for my car)

unit213 you are correct but you would think that I could run into some barely modded or mildly modded car's? but usually a 6.9 track is not that fast in the street especially a stick car? say what does your car put down #'s wise anyways?

on a side not the Z06 will have at least 100-120rwhp then my TA so I should fair better with the vette when it's done!

Yeah...I hear that. You have a knack for finding faster cars.

A 10 second car is a 10 second car IMO...stick or not. Of course it will
be slower on the street in terms of ET, but so will every car so it tends
to balance itself out.

Right now? Nothing. It's in the shop for a fuel system. At this point
I'll have to bench race since I don't know what kind of power it will
make. I think it'll make 650-660rwhp on the blower and I'll be spraying
a 100 shot on top of that. I'm stuck in between mods really. I don't have
enough tire currently to support the new power. But...previously...it was
better than 6.90's in the 1/8th and 130+mph on drag radials and pump
gas. That's enough keyboard racing for one night I think. Hopefully I can
get the car running and to the track next weekend.

LOL good luck with your car! and yea I hope to find some slower damn cars! but I also hope to get my TUNE worked out and get to the track for some ET's! what I mean bye track vs street is sticky track vs street, race gas vs pump gas, slicks vs dr's or street tires, race tune vs street tune etc...... either way like you said my car is whatever you see on the street is exactly what you get at the track! I want to hit 7.5's before I reach for the cam and nitrous upgrade!
