281, I'm kinda with Blownchevy on this one. A friendly one on one race is one thing, but I did not plan on racing the whole valley. This is too high profile. More people envolved gives more room for error. I am still for a race, but has to be a good location. And not more than one on one. A track race is too much time and effort. I have raced on the street many times without indicent. You just have to choose the right street.

I was not aware they can take your car now. I will be damned if they take my car. They will have to catch my *** first.

I have outrun a cop before. If you have the advantage of a speed gain or distance, you got a shot. Thing is you have to disappear fast. Before you call I was going 90 mph and the cop was going the opposite direction, saw me, and crossed the median. I punched it and took it up to 110mph. Took the next offramp, out of sight. Then hid at the library for 2 hours.

!!!!!!!!!!

Just kidding. It's very possible to outrun cops. Example- a cop is still running a radar on a 55 mph highway. Your easily doing 80-90. He guns you, you see him, rip it up to 110-120 and get off next exit before he can even pull off. Take a few turns, park your in a lot somewhere and your straight.

There is a very strong possibility you'll get caught, but I know 2 kids who have run and gotten away, and 1 that was caught. All these "World's Scariest Police Chases" videos have everybody thinking there's no way to get away from cops. If your good enough, you can.

But please don't try it! By doing so you endager the lives of countless innocent people. Highway chases are so damn dangerous...

Yeah think about it. Police crusiers (ford Crown Vics) top at 128mph. I can do 165. Police air support has a 3 minute window. You have roughly 1 minute to get away. As long as he did not get your plate, you have the road for it, and you got the sand. Don't get me wrong, I would not try this 99% of the time. Unless I have more to loose by my getting caught.

Oh I ran from the fuzz on my bike a few years ago and made it but it aint that easy. You gotta get a little lucky. It is possible but the cost big time out weighs the benefit. Speeding ticket versus a felony.

Well unless you are in Cali then evading is only a mistiminor (spelled wrong).

I saw a pursuit on TV yesterday that went 1 hour and 30 mintues christ the dude was stopping at traffic lights and the cops didnt do anything just sat there.

Try that **** in MD and they would ram your ***.

****, here the LAPD sometimes seems like they actually want to kill you. They would love for you to do something stupid so they have the excuss to blow you away and put another notch on their Beretta.

I am going on vacation in a few days and will be back after the 16th. I am going to start saving when I get back for that cam swap. The cam and programming will add 40 rwhp or so, so we can race then.

I got lucky at the expense of others. A couple of years ago I had my first street races with my SS. The location was a "secret" street by the arrowhead pond (where the mighty ducks play). There was a ton of people and after 3 races the cops showed up. Everyone took off i went straight down the street and there was a honda behind me. After the first block i saw a cop behind us with his lights on. I tried to turn to get away but i was going to fast and the honda pulled infront of me. now it was the ricer, me, and the cop in back of me. I was debating wether to just give up and pull over. There was an intersection ahead with the light on red for us and I started to slow down to turn, As I turned I looked at my rear view mirror and I see a car T-bone the honda. The cop pulled up and I turned at the next street and eventually went home. The next day I heard that the passanger in that honda got thrown out the window. Mind you that all this happend at very high speend and all happend very quick. Since then I've never been to "organized" street races. I still feel pretty lucky that nothing happend to me. Sorry so long just thought I would share.

I once outran a State Trooper in a 4 door Cutlass Supreme with a 3.4 liter v6. I was extremely lucky to get away. I was heading down a highway and he scanned me coming the other way there was a ton of traffic behind me and I saw him cut a U Turn so I floored it and was doin like 80-85 then I took a left turn doin like 50 and my tires were squeeling, I only did this to get in front of a lot of cars so not to easily be seen. I turned left and then I saw the cop go by with his lights on. Lucky there was a hill and a turn on the highway or he would have seen me turn off for sure.

I once evaded a rent-a-cop on my skateboard. Ollied over a curb, did a railslide on a planter,
and giggled like a little girl while getting away.

I once ate a fish.

Oh, wait, I thought this was that blank thread from a few weeks ago!

Roll that beautiful bean footage! (if this doesn't lock down this thread, I don't know what will).
