Default supercharged gt stang goes down

so i was out the other night driving around when suddenly i see a 00ish mustang coming up behind me. He gets beside me and revs, luckily the light in front of us is red and as soon as it turns green we both punch it. Both of us were spinning badly thru 1st,2nd,and part of 3rd but even when i was spinning i was still pulling away. Finally we both got traction and i begin to pull away from the stang pretty easily, by the time i am halfway thru 4th i was probably an easy 6 or 7 cars if not more in front of him so i let off and when he catches up he gives me a thumbs up and then waved for me to follow him to the gas station nearby. When we get there the first thing i notice is the blower whine at idle and then he got out and we started talking. The first thing he asked is what i have done to my car and when i told him he was very surprised. Then he told me his car made 425 to the wheels which i find hard to believe considering i beat him pretty easily. To his credit though he did have a cute chick in the front and his friend in the back so he would have been faster without them but still i beat him pretty badly. Then we both looked underneath each others hoods and luckily when i popped mine i noticed that my belt was coming off again. On a side note i also stomped all over a chrysler crossfire and a lightly modded scion tc but this was definately the only decently fast car i have really gotten to race since my h/c swap

Blown 2v GTs, from what I have seen/read, don't really do too well. I'm not surprised to see you whomp him.

I outran one in my boltons/a4/street tires on heavy ZR1s LT1 two out of three times. His was a std trans also!

You guys def both need some good DRs though

i agree we both needed some tires...funny thing is as soon as we got traction i pulled away from him badly. He actually said so far i am the only f-body that has ever beaten him and thats why he wanted me to pull over so he could see what i had

With that blower at 6psi and a couple bolt-ons, he's stuck in the 340-350rwhp range me-thinks... no surprise at all that you pulled him. Good kill

well he didn't say how much boost he was running but he claimed he made 425 to the wheels which i dont believe because i only made 425 to the wheels.

If you both had equal power you wouldn't/shouldn't pull him that hard... I doubt he was cranking out that much.

+1

He was probably 'guesstimating' his power. Either that or something was wrong...OR, you have more power than you realize.

10psi 2V with supporting mods is 400+ rwhp.

Nice kill..and great looking car.

Nice kill..and great looking car.
the dyno i was on does typically dyno very low...the guy i bought my heads from dyno'd on the same dyno and only put down 400hp but was trapping at 117 at the track so it definately reads low however if he did have 425 i still shouldn't have beat him as badly as i did. Also thanks for the compliment
