Solstice vs GSXR 600
I'm just taking my time heading to work on friday and I see a bike coming up on me hard. I sped up some to match speed and rev a little at him.
He really didn't look that interested so I went ahead and punched it. I'm not sure if he was running his hard or not but from 70 to 130 he stayed right on my door. Just as we hit 130 he let out. I slowed bak down and we both the the thumbs up and he pulled off the highway.
I doubt he was WOT but it was fun running side by side wth a bike.

You're probably going to get flamed for this thread... But before you get attacked, In your defense you did say you don't know if he was WOT, or running hard. He probably was WOT, but in whatever gear he was already in when you pulled up next to him.
I love those solstices though, those new hardtops are hot.
Even though you just wanted to post your story, this will most likely turn bad within the hour.
Good luck.

He could have been WOT or close to it (90%), but only if he didn't down shift. If that is true, this outcome is believable.
I was explaining to my gf on how bikes accelerate (before she gets a ride on mine) and I pulled up to a bike on the fwy (looked like a Kawasaki ninja ZX-10). I stayed in 5th and hit the gas, he did too, I started to pull, he downshifted, he was gone! All this (underlined) happened in less than 5 seconds.

260whp sounds right for low 13's soltice is alot lighter than a ls1. but hurts from lack of TQ. definately a more roll topend car.
i almost traded my car in for a solstice gxp. do you know if the car was originally a GXP model converted to supercharger? it looks like in your sig the gxp mode. cause there a few guys easily making 260+ to the wheels with exhaust intake and upped boost from normal GXP models.

Yep, lol.
And I was close.
If you don't downshift on a bike to get in a decent powerband you are toast. Starting out at a highway roll in 6th gear you could get walked by about any car. Most bikes don't start making any power till at least 8k rpm.. and that is a long stretch if you're doing 70 in 6th.
He should have been in 1st or 2nd. Depending on the sprockets on the bike.
