Stock z28 vs Srt 8 charger

Default Stock z28 vs Srt 8 charger

Well a buddy of mine just recently was gifted his dads charger because his dad bought a procharged c5 zo6. ANYWAYS he used to have a civic that I absolutly destroyed, so today we are sittin at sonic just talking and he brings up the charger. He tells me that it has headers,catback,power flo intake, and a diablo tune (badass car). So we head out to the highway and do couple of runs.

1st run from about 45 He beeps it off (at this point i'm thinkin I'm about to get killed) Well third beep I hit it and so does he. I start to walk him by about two cars. I held it all the way up to about 130 and shuter down. Now i'm like wtf happen. He said he was using the shifter to shift or something to the other.

2nd run from about 50 I beep it off and we hit it I stay with him to about 90 and he starts to walk about 3 or 4 cars on me.

Over all badass car and some good races. I had my ttops off and he had a passenger.

Now how do you think my car will fare next time with a lid,headers,3.73s,ud pulley,and a stall?

Nice races. He should definitely be pulling you pretty good, even with the passenger I'd say, so that second race is the more accurate of the two. Remove his passenger and give you those mods and it should be a pretty good run.

nice honorable death make sure 2 get lt headers and atleast a y pipe will give u a better run. remember ur weight advantage. oh dont forget about us and hook us up with a vid bro.

R/T is a better race for your car, to be honest. It would have run a little bit more even as far as I know. But over-all, sounded like fun. I've driven an SRT8 before, and man, what a pure beast.

Nah, the R/T's are fodder for even 3V Mustang GT's......an LS1 F-bod would pound it into the ground. The SRT8s should be a total drivers race stock for stock....with the SRT having a wee bit advantage on the top end. To the OP, with those added mods you should give your buddy's Charger all it can handle.......IF you don't show him tail lights. Good luck.

Get a stall and watch him disappear, lol.

They are def quick cars for being the pigs they are. I've had a couple runs with one in my LT1

You will def put several lengths on him with headers/ory/gears/stall

I've pulled 2 cars on a r/t before. But ya I really hope to get a re race when I at least get a lid and headers lol.

I ran a similar modded magnum at the track a few weeks ago. Not that fast imo he ran a 13.0 to my 13.2 we were dead even 2 about the end. Even funny was there was a stock charger srt8 with bfg DRs only runnin 13.3-.5 lol

I would normally correct someone who is wrong without any issues.

But, the way you said that made it seem like you're pretty sure about what you're talking about.

man u disapoint me. i thought intake rs could easily manhandle a cammed ls1 lmao.

Cold air intake
It's better than a regular intake because it sucks colder air from the bottom of the car. AEM makes the best ones.
They even give you a nice sticker to put on your car.

yea 4 stickers from jdm is around 600hp 2 the wheels lol. plus the ultra rare helicopter wing is like 3000hp . .lol man i need me one of those lmao.

Cam, tune and headers is all you need to own those guys. I have run 2 of them in my car and was no problems with just those mods at any speed.

Nope, same performance. Same powertrain, weight, etc. The extra hp upgrade this year may help, but stock: SRT-8 > LS1 A4 > R/T 5.7.

OP - nice runs. S/b pretty interesting with those mods you have proposed. You should take him from a dig, I'll be very curious to see it from a roll. Keep us posted.

just get same mods as me and you will roll past any stock srt8. hell im a vert and im just as fast as Deuuce modded with my mods.

you should be a tenth or 2 quicker than me with same mods. and a stall you would rape any srt8 unless they got some real mods thrown on. im waiting till i get my tranny buffed up before getting a stall. with header/intake/exhaust/stall you should be shooting for mid 12's at the least
