96 WS6 vs 02 WS6
Me (96) - LT1 M6, True duals, Long tubes
'02 - Auto, SLP cat-back
First race from a dig, got him on the launch pretty good, both spun. Shut it down ~130 I had 2-3 cars on him.
Second race was a 40 roll. I missed 3rd. We shut it down about 130 again and I had 1 1/2 to 2 cars.
One more from a 3rd gear roll. Think it was around 60. Pulled him again a couple cars to ~130 or so.
I figured up in 90+ he might pull me a little but he stayed back

Gotta agree with you guys on that. I thought that you would probably need more than some lts and some duals. Of course, the driver mod helps as well. Oh well, if you say you did, I will believe you, it's just a hard pill to swallow at the moment.

Well if you look I didn't pull him by as much. I was farther ahead and he gained a little when I missed, but I got it back in gear and pulled slightly. Ya'll believe what you want, no stories here don't get your panties in a bunch.

Plus autos have that hesitation before the transmission completes the downshift. Rolling races with an auto tend to give the hit to the other guy. Some try to time it by going on 2.5 honks or whatever but often we are trying to play catch up. This one of the reasons I like the track. I take the M6 advantage away from them and give it to myself
Good kill Spiers. Sounds like you got a strong running LT1 there.

I think it's completely plausible. Some LT1s dyno pretty damn good stock, not to mention with a full exhaust. That 6-speed really comes in handy too. I've lost to sticks from a roll, then ate 'em up from the dig. If I roll anywhere between 40-50, I'm playing catch up to imports and 4.6 GTs. A 35 roll breaks them loose, and 50mph + is decent.
Awesome to see a clean elky keeping the big bad LS1 at bay. Any track times or numbers, Spiers?

Thanks. My best time is 8.84 @ 82 mph with a 2.24 60ft My local track is pathetic. Hopefully by this spring I will have H/C and maybe a little spray, and take it to KCIR with some stickies.

no panies in a wad here...just saying it takes a while to get the m6 back in gear after you miss..if you do it right. If you did beat him that run he must have full weight and then some
