Default Killed a bolt on Z28 and a blown 02 gt

I got a call from a buddy sayin I was getting called out by a cammed stalled geared LT1 that I had beat numerous times, but now it has a new owner. Who quickly bitch out and said he couldnt make it as soon as I said I'd run him We end up meeting up at our normal G2G spot. After a hour or so I get called out again by a 2000 Z28 a4 with longtubes, catted Y, borla, lid, BBK intake and aftermarket ram air. We line up: We are even out of the hole and by sencond gear I start walking away hard and let off at 110 mph with 3 cars on him. Then we did a 30 roll and he gets a 1/2 car jump and I come around him hard and shut it down at 80 with 1/2-1 car on him. On the way home from the meet I had a 30 roll with a 2002 GT m5 with full exhaust and a Saleen blower running 8lbs he got 1/2 car jump on my and I came around him hard again and shut it down at 100mph with 3-4 cars on him. Fun night.

YOu beat a blown 2V (8psi) running a 13.2@105? was that ET before some of your mods? I'm not trying to come off as an ***, it just doesn't add up since you were back a half car and then ended up almost a full car ahead.?. I know you guys have the same gears (roughly) but the roots kicks it quick.

I'm not calling BS, just trying to make sense of it. That's all. A solid high twelve being pulled on a solid mid 12. That's all?

I would say the same thing. Anything can happen on the street. Most of the time it doesn't matter which car puts out more power, it is who can drive better.

I was there, and witnessed it first hand. The mustang owner is complaining about the tune of the car, which is a possibility of being the culprit. But yes, this race happened as Streetassasin states. And Thomas, quit bench racing! You haven't touched 12's yet, I don't care what it SHOULD do. ;P

No no no, i was stock. He was cam/bolt on and blown. His tune was screwed up though. He couldnt shift past 3900. Sad part is it was still quick.

Like I said, I'm not saying ti didn't happen. Just trying to 'understand', and a bad tune certainly makes sense.

OH.....'cam/bolt on'? IDK if you know this but mod motors have at least two cams. If it was a 96+ GT he had 'blower cams', etc. Not shifting past 3900, man that sucks. His 4k+RPM A/F timing was probably screwed up.

When i say cam im referring to cam/cams, no matter how many, old habit. Ya and he had his cam specs built for the blower. It was a beast down low, just couldnt get it past 4K, it would start detonating really bad, so prolly a/f but not sure, he never did get it fixed he just sold it like a pansy.

No problem. There are people out there that don't know about mod mtrs and their cams. That's all. i should have guessed you would have known though.

Yep...detonation was probably due to bad tune. That happens quite a bit. tuning FI ain't like tuning N/A. ALOT more senthative.

Depends on the setup I guess. I dont' imagine too many would be impressive against a mid 11 4th gen though.

I wasn't too worried about a Vorteched 2V when I had my AB mach...never got to run him though. now, I'm worried about a stinkin' Yugo with my current 'ride' **COUGH COUGH**.
