Default About LS1 and Lt1 brakes...

Let's say we have a 9 inch rear with an LT1 brake setup, can said 9 inch rear be used on a LS1 car by simply transferring the brake setup? Let's not worry about the ABS part at the moment as I have a 3 channel and the aforementioned 9 inch does not have and traction control on it.

The only other thing that is different is the parking brake. Are you trying to keep the lt1 rear brakes or swap your ls1 brakes on it? If you want to use your ls1 rear brakes you going to need to swap backing plates. and modify some brackets to get the parking brake cables to mount right. If i was you i would use the Lt1 back breaks as they provide more clearance for drag wheels, and it would be less hassle to hook up.

I know the physical brake size is different, but is the hat still the same physical size in the sense that I can just put my LS1 brakes over and still have the parking brake, or does the LT1 use a different style parking brake altogether?
