Default Lightest "street" K member out there

I always thought that BMR had the lightest K-member at 24.5 lbs, but when I read racecrafts website It says they have one for 20.2 lbs w/motor mounts included. Is this streetable or strictly for drag racing, because if so it would make it the lightest out there. Does anyone have any experience with this K member or any imput on weight?

I'm running Racecraft's K-member on my 02' Camaro which is driven every day and driven to the track occasionally. It fit great and no problems w/ driving all over the place. Honestly though, we don't have any experience w/ anyone else's K-members besides theirs in the F-bodies.

If you have to bolt the factory cast iron mounts back onto the Racecraft unit it the weight is going to escalate pretty quick. Our K-member has integrated motor mounts so the factory stands are not needed.

If you have any other questions regarding our products please feel free to ask

Lightest one that I know of was Profab's (no longer in business) but I'd only recommend that for an all out drag car and with Spohn's Solid mounts.

Yhe im still a little confused, im not sure if the racecraft one needs you to use your own mounts. It does however say 15 lbs with no mounts and 20 with them.... heres the website, let me know if u think it uses stock or integrated motormounts.

That looks like the old profab k member. It uses the OEM (or Spohn Solid) mounts. it DOES NOT have integrated mounts:

Here are the spohn solid mounts:

and in looking for that link, I see that they now have light weight motor mounts (5 lbs less that OEM):

So can you not use the Spohn solid motor mounts with the BMR k-member?? If you want solids you need to run the Racecraft??

Just curious as I plan on a k-member & solid motor mounts within the next year.

Also on the Racecraft does it accept aftermarket as well as stock upper/lower a-arms?? I believe BMR does, but just not sure if you can use solid mounts on BMR.

If your referring to the stock member, with motor stands they weigh 55.75 lbs, without stands 43.75 lbs.

If you want to run the spohn solid mounfs you will either have to use the spohn k member or others without integrated mounts like the bmr unit has.

BMR does make K members without integrated motor mounts.

No, money issues (see link on sig).

I loved it. I previously owned the profrab K member before and sold it to buy the UMI K member.

Looks like thats the one I'll probably be goin with then.

I checked UMI's site but didn't see a k-member without integrated motor mounts. So I guess you can't run their k-member with solid mounts.
