lower control arms with relocation brackets would help out greatly.

Do you have any suspension mods done to the car? As 99 stated, lower control arms and relocation brackets will usually eliminate any wheel hop issues. We offer several different styles of lower control arms from a poly/poly boxed or tubular non adjustable to a full out QA1 rod ended on car adjustable version. The non adjustable versions are available in either 1.625" x.110 dom steel or 1.625" x .083 moly steel. The adjustable version is 1.25" x .095 chrome moly steel. The relocation bracket brackets are available in a bolt in or weld in version. Both are made from 3/16" laser cut cold rolled steel allowing for up to 3" of "instant center" adjustment.

Just the addition of lower control arms might cure the problem. If not the relocation brackets will.

I am no expert on this but at stock height I had bad wheel hop. Whole car would shake. I had LCA and Torque arm but what ended up fixing it was relocation brackets and changed torque arm angle. Allso different tires helped me. with less air.

A lot of things can be involved in wheelhop. LCA brackets and so on aren't always the answer... In fact shocks can effect hop as much as anything else (compression damping controls unsprung weight, and the axle and everything bolted to it is unsprung weight).

So while LCA's, brackets, TA's, and all can help lessen or cure wheelhop....they can't stop hop coming from shot dampers. And more than once we've had cars that had all the suspension parts listed above installed, and they still hoped and only shocks stopped it.

There are ways to help narrow the field to see if shocks will help the hop, and I'd be more than happy to discuss options and how parts effect different aspects of driveability.

More than a possibility w/102k miles on OEM's........

Just want to make sure you know that all shocks aren't the same anymore than all cams are, or tires are. Depending on use my recommendations are Bilstein or Koni 99% of the time. Sometimes Tokico or AGX's, but it's pretty rare.

I myself had UMI LCAs and Bilstein shocks and still had wheel hop. I have since changed to KONIs but havnt really noticed if the wheel hop is totally gone yet. I suppose if I were to also get a Torque Arm, wheel hop would go away completely.

My front shocks were blown out before 80,000 miles, with the stock springs

Start with Bilsteins and some poly-rod Lower control arms (along with some reloc. brackets if you feel like spending a little extra)
too bad you didnt post a little sooner. I JUST sold my bilsteins.

It's hard to give the right advice here... Are you going to really do hardcore, wheel lifting drag racing? If not then I'd get Konis. Koni's will give you pretty decent drag racing results. If your shocks are assisting in the wheel hop, then konis will prevent at least the rebound from occurring too quickly.

You're main problem here is wheel hop though.... from what I've read, relo brackets will help prevent wheel hop. Shocks help prevent wheel hop. There's probably other things as well.
