rotors still feel warped!!

rotors still feel warped!! well, i canged my front rotors and pads, but i was on the freeway this morn and it still feels warped. my steering wheel doesnt shake at all, so im assuming that its the rear rotors that are warped. (steering wheel never did shake). has this happend to anyone? if the rear rotors are the prob, should i get new pads for the back too? i know they have at least 50% left on them. any input will help. thanks!

Re: rotors still feel warped!! I changed my fronts also, but I still get lots of shake at highway speed (from the rear, I think!)
I am swapping out my rear discs/pads this weekend. Send me a PM to see how it turned out.

Re: rotors still feel warped!! If you have the time and money, go ahead and replace
the rears as well. I just replaced my fronts (again)
but since most of the braking is on the front, I'm waiting
to do the rears. Keep the pads, you've still got life in
them. Then again, I know nothing about brakes

Re: rotors still feel warped!! I had some bad vibration before that was due to improperly torqued lugnuts... make sure all four corners are torqued to 100 ft/lbs in the basic star pattern before you change anything.

Re: rotors still feel warped!! Seems pretty amazing that a rear rotor would be warped, but I guess it is possible. I guess what would be interesting to see, is to find a shop that can spec a rotor on the car, and check the "runout" front and rear. Your car is barely 2 years old . . . . .

Seems pretty amazing that a rear rotor would be warped, but I guess it is possible. I guess what would be interesting to see, is to find a shop that can spec a rotor on the car, and check the "runout" front and rear. Your car is barely 2 years old . . . . .
So 2 years isn't bad. They must have really screwed something up when my car came from the factory.

Re: rotors still feel warped!! yeah, i orderd the rear rotors yesterday from autozone and should be in today. ($42 each) im gonna put them on tonight and its gonna be like brand new (crossing fingers.) it does stop better with the new hawk hps pads in front.
