Default has anyone had their rearend lock up temporarily?

I was driving my 2001 Z28 down the road normally not hot rodding between 40 and 50 mph and the rearend locked up. Could it be the rear brakes? I drove it home but I have never had this problem before.

I have heard of the actual 10 bolt differential locking up before.

just a thought i had a f-150 before my z and i had a parking brake liner come off of the shoe on a disk brake rear end it got wedged it slid me down the interstate like a idiat i checked under the truck and saw the liner sticking out from inside the rotor i had to back up to get it loose cheap fix for me good luck to you
