Default Wheel hop????

Went from 10 bolt to 9inch.. Now I have wheel hop. Went from 3:42 gears to 3:50 gears. Also detroit locker added. No other changes were made. Any Idea to why this started. Wheel hop isn't always pressent?

Hello, do you have control arm relocation brackets? If not you will need a set. They will fix your wheel hop issues.

Thumbs up wheel hop problem

Hello,
A good problem solution is a set of Lower Control Arm Relocation Brackets! So when you launch the vehicle, it will put the power to the ground. If you have any other questions feel free to ask we will be more than glad to help! Below is a link to show what I am describing. There is two different styles a weld in version and a bolt in.
Thanks Again,
Brad

You added a lot of unsprung weight vs. what you had before. Compression damping in the shocks controls that, and if the hop is due to a lack of proper compression damping all the other parts in the world won't fix it.

Sure you can try LCA brackets (if you don't have them already) to plant the rear tires harder and maybe you get around a hop starting. But they can't do anything for how the car deals with that mass in general--like when you hit bumps.

I see QA1's, and frankly they are best left for the strip (and IMHO not that great there). But you have them.. try turning them up and see if it helps. If it does, even if the hop isn't cured, you know you have a damping issue.
